Legacies is an American fantasy drama that premiered on the 25th of October 2018. Julie Plec created this fantastic television series. ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘The Originals’ are also set in the same universe as this show. ‘Legacies,’ like the other series in this universe, is well-made, with excellent performers and witty dialogue. Hope Mikaelson is the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall, and she is born from some of the most powerful vampires, werewolves, and witch families in the world. Hope, the 17 years old girl, enters the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, two years after the original. The school serves as a safe place for mythical creatures to learn to control their skills and urges. Here are other 20 movies you might enjoy if you liked ‘Legacies.’
The Vampire Diaries
To begin, let’s look at the drama that gave rise to Legacies and made Nina Dobrev a household name. The Vampire Diaries is followed by a series of novels by L.J. Smith about three people who are unwittingly linked. Elena is a typical high school student until she meets the beautiful vampire Stefan. That’s when things start to get out of hand. When a human is infatuated with a vampire, what could possibly be bad, right? Although the question is hypothetical, the solution takes you to some pretty interesting areas. After eight seasons, The Vampire Diaries came to an end in 2017. Although the vampire/human love triangle is a tired trope, this American drama features a compelling plot and intriguing characters.
Harry Potter Franchise
Harry Potter is a British-American film series based on J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter novels. Warner Bros. distributes the series, which comprises eight fantasy flicks. Starting with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a five-film prequel series will be released (2016). The Fantastic Beasts films are the start of J. K. Rowling’s Wizarding World media franchise.
Supergirl has to be near the top of the list if we’re discussing female leads with extraordinary talents. Superman is well-known, but his lesser-known cousin sister, Kara Zoe-El, has faced similar, if not worse, challenges. She serves as the defender of National City and seeks to strike a balance between her heroic duties and her personal life. The CW has produced a number of comic-book-themed shows, but Supergirl is one of the greatest. What would individuals do if they were given superpowers? They’d most likely want to utilize it for personal advantage because it takes a lot of effort to think beyond the box and help others. Kara has the same issues as human women working in the media when she isn’t being shunned for being an extraterrestrial. Learn how even seemingly indestructible abilities do not protect you from experiencing real-life challenges by watching this show.
Witches of East End
Witches Of East End’ is a television series centered on the lives of Freya and Ingrid Beauchamp (Jenna Dewan) (Rachel Boston). They are two sisters whose mother, Joanna Beauchamp (Julia Ormond), is a powerful witch, but they have grown unaware that they are half-human. The girls have been raised by their aunt, Wendy Beauchamp, in addition to their mother. This series is based on a book by Melissa de la Cruz with the same title, but it lacks the beauty of the original material. The acts are outstanding, but the actors aren’t given much to work with in terms of content. It may also be claimed that this is a show in which the witches have a sense of humour and do not take themselves as seriously as in other witch-themed shows.
The Original is a flip of The Vampire Diaries that is set in New Orleans and follows the Mikaelson siblings, often known as the world’s original vampires: Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah. Now Klaus must assassinate his protg, Marcel, who is now in the power of New Orleans, in order to reclaim his city and rebuild it the way he intended. While the city was being built, Klaus fled after being pursued by his father Mikael, and Marcel assumed command. Klaus’ ego has driven him to become the king of the city now that he has returned after a long absence. Klaus accepts the unborn child, saying, “Every King needs an heir.” It’s the first time a hybrid and a werewolf have had a child.
The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead appears on nearly every list of “programs people should watch before they die and turn into zombies.” With nine highly-rated seasons, this show is credited with creating the zombie genre as well-known as it is today. We’ve been introduced to this post-apocalyptic world via the eyes of cop Rick Grimes, but as the cast grows, it becomes clear that there isn’t just one protagonist. Viewers perceive the darkness that lurks within human souls, and moral principles may become a luxury if rules cease to exist. The Walking Dead brings together people from various intellectual backgrounds and deconstructs them down to their most fundamental elements. You watch men and women who’ve never had to suffer in their lives fighting to the death simply to stay alive. Because the future is uncertain, they live totally in the now.
The Secret Circle
Cassie Blake comes home with her grandmother in the little town of Chance Harbor, Washington, after her mother passed away in a fire. Strange and terrible things start to happen as she gets to know her high school friends. They’ve been waiting for Cassie to join them and complete a new generation of the Secret Circle, as they’re all descended from powerful witches. What they don’t realize is that darker forces are at work, and Cassie’s mother’s loss was not an accident.
Many fans of Legacies may be lured to the universe of Netflix’s Shadowhunters because it features vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and faeries. The TV series follows Clary Fairchild, who realizes she is part of a long-lost line of Shadowhunters and is intended to safeguard the world from terrible supernatural demons and entities. It runs from 2016 to 2019. In the same way that werewolves, vampires, and warlocks appeared in Legacies, fans will see a slew of werewolves, vampires, and warlocks battle it out with the Shadowhunters or establish alliances with them. It’s not all action, though; there are plenty of romances and mystery stories to be found as well.
Penny Dreadful is without a doubt the show I hope would never stop. No other program in its genre has been able to establish characters with as much world-building as this one. Not only does Penny Dreadful have vampires, werewolves, and witches, but it also includes great literary figures such as Dr. Frankenstein and Dorian Gray. The plot centres around Vanessa Ives and Ethan Chandler assisting Sir Malcolm in the rescue of his daughter from mysterious creatures. There are multiple other storylines running at the same time, but no moment feels forced, and every line of conversation is appropriate for the character.
‘Charmed,’ a drama about three sisters who discover they are witches and that their mother had kept this portion of their existence secret from them, is another show about youthful magical people. One of the three sisters, Phoebe Halliwell, is the first to uncover a book called ‘Book Of Shadows’ in their home, which claims that they are the world’s three powerful witches. It is also their obligation to defend the earth and all living things from evil beings that may wish to destroy humanity. The show then revolves around three sisters as they learn about their abilities and how to use them. Then, as the earth’s responsible protectors, they begin combating villains. ‘Charmed,’ among the most successful teenage superhero shows ever made, has spawned numerous scholarly articles as well as being a fan favorite. When the episode first aired in 1998, the portrayal of feminism in this film was quite fresh and unique.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
Kiernan Shipka plays Sabrina Spellman in this Netflix original series, which is based on the Archie Comics ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch.’ She is a half-human, half-witch who fights the evil powers that are continuously assaulting her and her family. Sabrina’s plot is best described as a coming-of-age story about a teenage girl who is thrust into a world rife with supernatural themes. Sabrina has connections to the worlds of witches, wizards, and dark magic, but she also values her human nature because she has many friends in the human realm. Despite her best efforts to preserve a balance between the different worlds, dealing with supernatural entities that seek to harm humanity can be difficult at times. Kiernan Shipka is fantastic as Sabrina, and her work in this series has cemented her place as a global celebrity. Along with the performers, the series’ plot, director, and production value should all be commended.
Rose, a defiant hybrid human-vampire guardian-in-training, and her best friend, Lissa, a mortal, royal vampire Princess, have been on the run when they are apprehended and brought to St. Vladamir’s Academy, where they think their lives are in risk. Rose will risk everything to defend Lissa from those who want to exploit her both inside and outside the Academy’s gates, as well as the Strigoi (immortal, malevolent vampires) who pursue her kind.
We’ve discussed mystical entities who live among humans. Van Helsing, on the other hand, presents a situation in which things are seen through the eyes of a human. Many people are familiar with the legend of Van Helsing, the renowned vampire hunter who stood between both the two worlds to preserve humanity’s survival. Vanessa Helsing, his daughter, is stranded in a world where vampires have taken over, so she uses her unique blood to bring immortal animals back into humans in this narrative. If you’ve never seen this version of the famous Dracula story, now is the time to binge-watch.
