Edens Zero Season 2 Release Date
After the demise of Yuji Suzuki, it is hard to tell whether there are any further developments of Edens Zero Season 2. However, there have been many conversations regarding the release dates. If the staff decides on the return of Edens Zero, the first part of season 2 may premiere by August 2022. However, there is no definite announcement for the same.
One thing that we know for sure is that there will be upcoming episodes in the future. There has also been a lot of confusion regarding season 2. Earlier, fans had anticipated that the 13 recent episodes would be labeled as season 2. But Netflix divided the first season itself into two parts. Therefore, it is also possible that Netflix will add the next batch of episodes in ‘part 3’ of the series. Anyhow, fans have to wait a bit more for any definite updates.
Edens Zero Season 2 Story
In the previously released episodes of the first season, more or less 68 chapters were covered from the manga books. Accordingly, Season 2 may cover the following chapters and predictably end at the 138th chapter. As for the story, there are a number of predictions according to the ending of the first season. As Shiki has now gathered a lot of friends through adventures with Happy and Rebecca, there is a possibility of expeditions further.
Shiki is also the owner of the Edens Zero Spaceship now. With the help of Hermit, now he can fully restore the ship to its true form and with Homura taking her previous master’s position, the ship can now function fully. Season 2 may see the crew of Edens Zero embarking on a journey beyond the Sakura Cosmos, where the whole season 1 story was based.
Edens Zero Season 1 Recap
The 25 episodes that have already been released focus on the adventures of Shiki and his friends. The story is based on a fictional spacefaring universe in which aliens, humans, and sentient robots all live together. The universe is divided into a number of cosmoses and Shiki and his allies belong to the Sakura Cosmos. There are other beings beyond the Sakura Cosmos as well such as cybernetic dragons who live in a place called the Dragonfall. A monster called Chronophage threatens the existence of these cosmoses with its power of rewinding time and creating alternate timelines without causing a time paradox.
All these technologies are sourced by Ether, a power source that forms the whole basis of the anime series. This Ether is harnessed by several characters with the help of Ether Gear. The Gear also gives them superpowers and special abilities. Shiki is also one of the Ether Gear users, living on a planet called Granbell. When he befriends Rebecca and Happy, all three of them set out on an adventurous journey in search of Mother, the ultimate goddess of the Universe. Shiki also inherits the Edens Zero Spaceship, previously owned by his grandfather, Demon King Ziggy.
