Doctor Cha Episode 6 Recap And Ending Explained: Jung-Sook’s World Is About To Be Knocked Over Sideways!

Stretching beyond the scope of a medical drama series, Netflix‘s Doctor Cha stands at the threshold of becoming a family drama. Manifested by Kim Dae-Jin and Kim Jung-Wook, this medical-slash-family drama is a weekly releasing dose of comfort. We have been intently watching Doctor Cha for three weeks now. By far, this latest episode has been the most dramatic of all. It is tightly packed with tears, revelations and of course bucket loads of drama.

This new episode doesn’t waver from the aforementioned highlight of the series, making it a delightful binge-watch. So, let me take you on a ride to Doctor Cha Episode 6 recap and ending explained now!

Doctor Cha Episode 6 Recap

Doctor Cha Episode 6 Recap

I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said that the previous episode didn’t leave disappointed by not making Jung-Sook confront Seung-Hee and In-Ho. As we all know Seung-Hee and In-Ho have been having a secret relationship for decades even though In-Ho is married to Jung-Sook. In the last episode, the makers teased us with an epic battle between these three as Jung-Sook discovers the truth. In-Ho has brought several gifts for his girlfriend but hardly a few for his wife. So, when In-Ho claimed that the receipt Jung-Sook found in his trousers was of a gift he planned for her, alarm bells started ringing. The only person who couldn’t hear it was Jung-Sook given that she is an epitome of naivete.

Anyway, this episode doesn’t make any real progress in this story arc either. But it does make Jung-Sook drop the blindfold she has tied on her eyes. This episode takes Jung-Sook to the doorstep of revelation, making it the most anticipated scene of Doctor Cha.

It commences right after the previous episode left with Jung-Sook becoming a big shot at Gusan University Hospital due to her kindness towards Chairman Oh. Jung-Sook goes through an accusation round that works in her favour in the end. The entire professor of the hospital blames Jung-Sook for the disappearance of a patient who also happens to be a murderer. Of course, the charismatic surgeon and friend of Jung-Sook, Doctor Roy Kim is on his side. The directorial team doesn’t hold the disappearance over Jung-Sook’s head either and lets her continue her practice. In-Ho, however, isn’t convinced by the decision. Well, no surprises there.

In-Ho Just Cannot Help Himself

Some people are programmed to be miserable and make other people’s lives miserable as well. If these people formed a community, In-Ho would be the unchallenged leader of it. Jung-Sook was doubting her career choice due to her daughter, I-Rang’s admission. Now, after a huge lecture by her mother, Chairman Oh and her best friend, Mi-Hee, Jung-Sook is ready to take on the world once again. In-Ho cannot bear the thought though. He gives Jung-Sook a hard time and treats her as if she is invisible.

The turning point of the episode occurs when Kim spots Seung-Hee and In-Ho together twice and notices the familiarity between them. He isn’t blind nor is he as dumb as the rest of In-Ho’s family and immediately recognizes that In-Ho is deceiving Jung-Sook. One of the most heated scenes of Doctor Cha Episode 6 has Kim and In-Ho stand against each other with Kim having the upper hand. Kim might be having the upper hand, he doesn’t have any evidence though.

Kim And Jung-Sook Get A Step Closer

Doctor Cha Episode 6 Recap

Jung-Sook’s best friend, Baek Mi-Hee, a leading dermatologist, drops at Gusan University Hospital unannounced. Both of them enjoy bickering with each other when Kim passes by them and waves at Jung-Sook. Of course, Jung-Sook is oblivious to his charm but not her best friend! Mi-Hee immediately develops a sort of crush on him and convinces Jung-Sook to help her out. The next day, Kim invited Jung-Sook for a morning run, to which Jung-Sook drags Mi-Hee with her.

After noticing Kim’s reaction to Jung-Sook, Mi-Hee immediately recognizes that the most popular surgeon at the hospital has a soft corner for Jung-Sook. Ah, such a sweet moment! Jung-Sook, being the dutiful wife she is, waves her off and gets back home where a terrible piece of news awaits her. Her mother-in-law Ae Sim has cancer. Since she is at an early stage, the entire family takes the news as lightly as possible. Indeed, what you sow, you reap. Once Ae Sim treated Jung-Sook’s health condition as if nothing, now she is on the receiving end of the same treatment.

Doctor Cha Episode 6 Ending Explained: Jung-Sook Meets Seung-Hee’s Daughter

Another dramatic scene happens when Jung-Sook reunites the criminal patient with her daughter. What’s even more dramatic? Jung-Sook running into Choi Eun-Seo!

Sadly Seung-Hee’s father expired and the mother-daughter duo went to attend their funeral. Seung-Hee’s brother treats Eun-Seo as if she’s a stranger, accusing her of being an illegitimate child. That combined with Eun-Seo’s grudge against her best friend’s family hints at something huge. Maybe, Eun-Seo is really In-Ho and Seung-Hee’s daughter. Upon meeting Eun-Seo as Seung-Hee’s daughter, Jung-Sook suddenly remembers her words claiming that the most sordid affairs happen at golf courts.

On the other hand, Kim isn’t able to hold himself back either. He catches Jung-Sook running like a mad woman and cryptically hints at a major revelation. Doctor Cha Episode 7 will be taking us closer to the epic battle we have been waiting for three weeks!
