Carl Yoon was actually the minister who ended up blackmailing Baek Jae Min’s father into resigning from his office of power and then committing suicide in the end. It was both ways that it worked, Carl was doing it for his guilt, and at the same time, it wasn’t like he was not going to gain anything from helping the Eunsung family, we were obviously going to get paid. The truck driver hitting the man may be, something he also even hadn’t planned and it just worsened the situation for Hwang but acted for a better cause when it comes to Carl. Now Hwang may have kept the news of her father’s death from her husband because of the relationship both of them shared, firstly they were rivals during the election, and they had already gone through a divorce which made it bitter for both of them. However, there also lies a fact that maybe she didn’t want him to get affected or maybe it was just out of anger from what he did just a few moments back with Oh’s son.
