Gudetama is a lazy and depressed egg who doesn’t have any interest in doing anything. It has accepted its fate and sits around all day, awaiting that fate. Brought to us by Sanrio, the most famous cartoon company that gave us our favorite Hello Kitty, Gudetama is an adventure thriller. Featuring a lethargic egg yolk and an over genetic egg white, Gudetama is a series like no other.
Making a normal series takes at least half a year, but creating an animated series of this proportion must take at least a year. We are expecting the second series of Gudetama sometime in 2023. According to speculations, this season could drop in late 2023 if the makers decide to give it a shot.

In season 1, Gudetama is brought on an adventure by Shakipiyo, or rather, he is dragged reluctantly. What starts as an unnecessary chore for Gudetama ends up becoming a life lesson for him and us as well. We can all relate to the sluggish egg who didn’t even try to flee fate when he realized he was going to die one way or another.
Season 1 taught us to believe in ourselves as the writers of our fate and that we could change it whenever we decided to. Season 2 is expected to have some interesting lessons as well as a thrilling adventure. Maybe Gudetama and Shakipiyo will discover a new life with their mother. Or maybe they would still be on a quest to find her. But they will surely embark on a wild adventure.
Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure Season 2 Expected Cast
Multiple characters drop in the series, but there are two most prominent ones: Gudetama and Shakipiyo. Our lethargic, frustrated egg is voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi. We will be getting Takeuchi’s versatile tone this season as well, hopefully.
Shakipiyo is the complete opposite of Gudetama. It is vibrant, has hope for the future, and doesn’t shy away from anything. Shakipiyo is voiced by Seiran Fukushima. If we get a season 2 of this adventure series, we will surely be getting Shakipiyo back. We might see some new characters and, hopefully, Shakipiyo’s mother. Or the makers could introduce Shakipiyo and Gudetama’s father in this new season.

Gudetama is a hopeless, miserable, and unimpressed egg yolk. It stays inside the refrigerator and sits around all day, waiting for someone to kill it somehow. It doesn’t care whether it’s boiled, fried, or whisked. All Gudetama wants is to lounge around. On the other hand, Shakipiyo is anything but lazy. It is a vibrant chick with an eggshell costume and bubbling energy.
When Shakipiyo barges into Gudetama’s life and sees it lazing around, Shakipiyo decides to instill some energy in Gudetama’s life. It also figures that they are siblings since Gudetama is just egg yolk and Shakipiyo is egg white. Deciding to find their parents, Shakipiyo drags Gudetama on an adventure into the human world. The series promises a lot of humor, life lessons, and thrills.
