Knives Out 2 is a future American mystery thriller written and directed by Rian Johnson of T-Street Productions and produced by Johnson and Ram Bergman. Daniel Craig repeats his role as Benoit Blanc, a forensic investigator conducting a new murder investigation, in the Knives Out (2019) series. Fran, the caretaker of Harlan’s house, found him dead with his throat cut the next morning. Harlan’s death is being investigated by independent investigator Benoit Blanc, who is being paid anonymously. He attacks her with a knife from Harlan’s collection, which turns out to be a retractable stage knife, as she gets angry. Police arrested Ransom after recording his confession and murder attempts to kill Martha. Blanc informed Martha that he had noticed that she was involved in Harlan’s early death, pointing to the blood-splitting of her shoes. Linda receives a note from Harlan with details of her husband’s infidelity. Martha stands on the porch of her luxurious house, watching the capture of Rhlawulo.

Some of the first Knives Out characters are less likely to return. Johnson said any of the following will have new characters. Blanc moves on to another case involving new characters.
