Rudra: The Edge of Darkness is an Indian psychological crime thriller streaming television series, that is based on the British series Luther by Neil Cross. Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, the series is released under the production of BBC Studios India and Applause Entertainment and revolves around the thriller interconnection of the killers and the criminals, who are being haunted by DCP Rudra.

Rudra: The Edge Season 1 Recap
The premise revolves around a psyche DCP Rudra, who has recently been reinstated into the force and is behind a suspect who was found in the hospital. He is separated from his wife Shaila Durani who is a humanitarian, and she is now with Rajiv Dattani. Rudra, later on, met with Aliyah Chokshi, a bright and attractive woman, through a case. In the later part of the series, Shaila got murdered and Rudra became one of the prime suspects in her murder.
Although he is trying his best to unravel all the things, things go upside down and more terrific. Every episode comes up with a new case, and he got stuck in this, dealing with his psychopath character too. While dealing with the diamond case and Gautam, his bond with Aliyah gets stronger. In the end, it was revealed that Gautam is the real culprit, and he stabs Rudra but was shot to death by Aliyah, while the cops were coming. Ok so, it is a whole in one action, murder, and a cat and rat race of the police and the criminals.

Season 2 had Ajay Devgn as DCP Rudraveer Singh (Rudra) and Esha Deol as Shaila Durrani Singh (Shai) as the main leads. Along with them, Raashi Khanna as Dr. Aliyah Choksi, Atul Kulkarni as DCP Gautam Navlakha, Ashwini Kalsekar as Commissioner Deepali Handa, Tarun Gahlot as P. I. Prabal Thakur, Ashish Vidyarthi as Jt. CP Raman Acharya and Rajiv Kachroo as Mandar Naik have also done a great job.
There were also many secondary casts including Milind Gunaji as Colonel Yashwant Nikose, Luke Kenny as JK Lamba, Vikram Singh Chauhan as Captain Ashok Nikose, K. C. Shankar as Siddheshwar Kumar, Satyadeep Misra as Rajiv Dattani along with Saad Chaudhary as SCU Officer and Rajesh Jais as Commissioner.
