The plot of megaton anime is about a society that was once very flourished and progressive but it all changed after a devasting alien invasion, this apocalypse destroyed the whole town completely. 90 percent of human existence was killed during the alien apocalypse and only 10 percent are left now. the anime shows a post-apocalypse set. the society is now run by an authoritarian government and rules over the leftover survivor.
The public is treated as slaves and all the memory about the alien attack have been erased from their minds and they are made to work forcefully under strict monitoring. the whole anime focuses on 3 young school-going kids appointed and trained by the army wing to operate 3 individual parts of the Musashi robot. Megatronium Musashi alloy is the only hope of humanity to protect themselves from further invasions, but for them, it is a toy in hand.
