My Hero Academia Season 5 Release Date Is Announced!

My Hero Academia Season 5 Release Date

The premiering of My Hero Academia season 5 will commence from 27th March 2021. It is all set, to begin with, a recap episode titled ‘Episode 0.’ It cannot be regarded as the first installment of season 5. Rather it will act as a gap filler between the finale of season 4 and the first episode of the upcoming season. Despite not being the actual start of season 5 from 27th March, fans are excited to watch it. The first episode will be released on 3rd April this year. Earlier there were rumors according to which, this anime series can return in 2021.

Currently, the official trailer has been released. My Hero Academia will be returning both on Crunchyroll and Funimation. The latter has announced of premiering of this season will make a boom on 27th March itself. It will be available across several countries including Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Canada, United States, Mexico, and Ireland. Funimation will not only provide the series in its original audio but also there is an availability of dubbed content. In addition to this, the platform will offer My Hero Academia with subtitles too. In North America, it is available on Hulu. With the release of season 5, we will come to know about a piece of delighting news. This show will feature the 100th episode in this new season.

However, the release time for the episode is not confirmed yet. Moreover, a new poster was revealed in front of the fans on 14th February by using the medium of a Twitter post.

About the Series

Written by Kōhei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia is a Japanese manga series. It falls under the genre of fantasy, superhero, and adventure. Later on, it was then adapted into an anime series. The first season consisting of 13 episodes was released in April 2016 and ended in June 2016. On the other hand, the second season was aired on 1st April 2017 and lasted till 30th September 2017. Further, My Hero Academia season 3 dropped on 7th April 2018 and the final episode was on the screens on 29th September 2018. Lastly, 12th October 2019 marked the beginning of season 4 and landed on a conclusion on 4th April 2019. The series has four seasons and 88 episodes until now. Meanwhile, the fifth season is on its way. The number of episodes was the same in the last three seasons.

Apart from it, there have been two animated films titled, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising. both of them were released in August 2018 and December 2019 respectively.
