Greek Salad Season 1 Review

Greek Salad Review - They Are Not Squatters But Refugees!

Let’s go back to the beginning of the story, the time when Tom traveled a long way to Greece from New York. It all starts when Mia fails to show up at his grandfather’s funeral! It was quite a rough day for Wendy as well. Meanwhile, we see Tom and his former girlfriend, Lily, talking about their brand new startup project which is mainly centered around the green economy! Everything was looking quite mediocre, but then the lawyer discusses the will with them and thus comes the big news for Mia and Tom. Their late grandfather has left a great lot of property for them and thus gears up the story of Greek Salad Season 1.

The property is situated somewhere within the city area of Athens and so is Mia Rosseau! As Tom lands in Greece, he searches every place possible to find the whereabouts of Mia and at last, he locates her in an unlicensed NGO! Seems like she is volunteering for the association but little does she know that her mother’s father has left an inheritance for her! On one hand, Tom wants to sell off this property to raise funds for his start-up business while on the other hand, Mia wants to stay in Greece forever! After all, the main leader of their association, Kristos happens to be her new boyfriend and how could she leave him alone?

Lastly, we come to the centerpiece of the whole series, the refugees and immigrants! They have lost their home and reached out to Athens! The government is doing nothing to help them and in this moment of crisis, the common people decided to set up shelters for these homeless men and women. A lot of buildings in Athens remain deserted! Foreigners buy these properties and never return to Greece and thus comes the main twist of the story!

These associations decided to break into these emptied buildings, thus from refugees, they were tagged to be squatters! Tom’s grandfather’s house was also not an exception in this case. Their lawyer Valsamidis has already rented out their property to 5 immigrants and thus begins another interesting part of this story where Tom meets Giulia and her friends! This is just the start of Greek Salad Season 1, as you dig further into this young adult drama series, more and more dynamics will appear in the picture. Coming to the ratings of the show, Greek Salad deserves a 7 from us. We do feel like the creators have hurried the story a bit!

The flesh and blood which runs in our body, declare all to be people of the same race. When mother nature has always been kind to us, then who are we to create boundaries among countries and countrymen?

Tom had a deep attraction towards Giulia as well, they even had some quality time together but then Marco came to visit Giulia and that was indeed a bummer for Tom! But again, how could we forget about the moment when Tom agreed to be around Reem? This is when Tom did everything possible to help Reem out and from strangers, they became extremely close friends.
