This series does not follow the traditional producer concept, rather it strives for crowdfunding. Its simple focus is on gifting the viewers a free chance to explore the unheard and unseen journey of Jesus and his disciples.
Since The Chosen series works on crowdfunding, it takes a lot of time to gather capital and then film the series. Now that season 3 is currently on television and other online streaming platforms, funding for season 4 will commence soon. Since the first season came out, the producers have expressed their desire to make this series go on for at least five seasons.
We will surely have a fourth season, and most probably it will be as insightful as the previous ones. The Chosen Season 4: What Could This Season Be About?
Now that’s a tricky question. Since we are still in the midst of a stellar third season, we cannot exactly track down the plot. But we can definitely speculate on what The Chosen season 4 might be about. This astonishing series began with a simple scene of Jesus healing a demon-possessed woman who had lost all hope. It’s really plain and maybe a bit dull, but the message it sends flying our way hits hard: hang onto that single shred of light even if you’re surrounded by pitch darkness and see no way out.
With the series progressing continuously along with Jesus, we can expect this season to portray Jesus finally conveying his message to a broader audience. Since this series sticks closely to the gospels of Jesus Christ, we are expecting this season to cover the last chapters of the Bible. Hopefully, season 4 will be as insightful and heart-touching as the previous ones.
Season 2 Is A Significant Improvement Over Season 1
Though sheer simplicity is the highlight of this series, it has made it a bit dull in the first season. The episodes seemed too long and were focusing more on the side characters in the first season. And while we know that these characters contribute to the growth of this series and the character of Jesus, it still felt a bit irksome. Other than this, the narrative felt impersonal at times, and we obviously are not looking for a distant outlook on Jesus’ life.
The second season overshadows all these drawbacks and delivers an engaging historical drama. In season 2, Jonathan Roumie seems more comfortable with his character, and Jesus doesn’t seem too distant or nervous now. As the series overcame the initial experimental phase and delved deeper into making this series follow Jesus more closely, its popularity has grown seamlessly. Season 3 is already popular, despite the fact that it has only recently begun. Hopefully, the makers will continue with this approach and give us an amazing fourth season soon.
