Youjo Senki Season 2 Release Date

Youjo Senki is originally based on a light novel written by Carlo Zen which was published by Arcadia from 2010 to 2017. The series also adapts some parts from ‘The Saga of Tanya the Evil’ a similar light novel written by Carlo Zen. It has a total of 12 volumes. So far, season 1 of the anime and its sequel movie which was released in 2017 have covered a total of 4 volumes out of 12 from the light novel so there is enough content for the sequel to be created!

The 1st season was a huge success, and the light novel on which it is based is one of the top 30 popular light novel series of all time hence, the question is not will there be a season 2? Overview Of Youjo Senki

Youjo Senki means ‘The Military Chronicles of a Little Girl’, it is an anime series directed by Yutaka Uemura and written by Kenta Ihara which was released on AT-X, Tokyo MX, SUN, KBS, TVA, BS11 networks from January 6, 2017, to March 31, 2017. It had to total of 12 episodes.

Youjo Senki Story

The story starts with a salaryman who is always busy with his work and is an atheist. When he was at the railway station, he was pushed onto a coming train by a man whom the salaryman had fired earlier due to his dis-satisfactory performance. Suddenly the time around the salary man stops and he hears a voice of an entity that he calls ‘being X’. Later the salaryman gets reincarnated in an alternative universe as Tanya a little girl born in a struggling orphanage. Being X warns her that if she fails to have a natural death or have faith in it then her soul will leave the cycle of reincarnation. Tanya does not believe in the existence of God and proceeds to follow the life of an aged man inside a little girl’s body.

In Tanya’s universe World War I was delayed till the 1920s and the military soldiers used weapons and magic to fight against their enemies! In order to avoid unnatural death Tanya joins the German military and with her knowledge gets higher ranks thereby avoiding fieldwork. But still, each situation leads her closer and closer to conflicts and she gets forced to engage in fights against many strong enemy soldiers. Will she be able to hold on to her life? Possible Story Of Youjo Senki Season 2

The Season 1 of Youjo Senki was based on 1,2 and 3rd volumes of the novel ‘Saga of Tanya the Evil’, and the sequel of it the movie- ‘Saga of Tanya the Evil: The Movie’ was based on the 4th volume of the novel. So it is speculated that season 2 of the anime will be based on volumes 5 and 6 and probably 7. Except for this, there are no official updates from the production house.
