Aired on TV Tokyo from April 7 2008 to March 30, 2009, Soul Eater built an unparalleled legacy in the run of 51 episodes a long season. Directed by Takuya Igarashi and produced by Aya Yoshino, this anime series was a partial adaptation of its manga series written by Atsushi Okubo and published by Square Enix from May 12, 2004, to August 12, 2013. From this, it is evident that the story of the manga and anime overlapped since anime emanated halfway against the yet-developing manga.
Regardless, the series (both manga and anime) turned out to be major hits competing in terms of popularity with other popular shonen jump series like One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. Despite its popularity, manga readers resent the unsettlement of the anime to its original source material.
Soul Eater Season 2 Release Date
It has been 12 years since the show first came out and the future prospects of the release of next season are still in question. No official decision of continuing the show has been reached, by the makers’ part which has left the chances of its continuation meager. But it really seems like the anime will not be having another installment but sometimes a miracle happens so we cannot lose our hopes. This inactivity can be attributed to the fact that after adapting a few chapters from the manga (about 30 to 35 episodes), the anime diverged from the main plot which resulted in a distinct ending.
A loyalist of the main plot vented their anger on social media. Amidst all of this, there also emerged a progressive faction that supported the anime’s storyline claiming it to be on par with anime such as Dragon Ball, Naruto, etc. Besides, looking at the history of unexpected experimentation from Bones studios the possibility of the second season cannot be outrightly discarded. We will surely provide you with the updates.

The soul eater is set in a supernatural world where the dominant role is played by ‘meisters’ who are basically weapon yielders and may possess at least one demon weapon which is nothing but the manifestation of humans in the form of weapons. There are three teams across which these classes of supernatural entities are divided and transact in Death Weapon Meister Academy which is based in the Death City and headed by none other than the Shinigami.
Their purpose is to take down 99 evil human souls and one witch soul to create a coveted weapon called ‘death scythe’. Harnessing the power of these weapons soul eaters intend to exterminate all the evil spirits and categorically ‘Medusa’ a powerful evil witch who in the veil of goodness wants to inflict havoc to the world using black blood. She eventually takes on board a powerful kishin known as ‘Asura’ in her evil plans by awakening him.

Regardless of their conflicting ideologies, the two work out a way to achieve their goals, and working as a catalyst in this process is Black Star and his weapon Tsubaki.

Soul Eater Season 2 Trailer
The trailer starts by highlighting the key phenomena that take place in Death City via Maka Albarn, the protagonist of the show. She and her friends embark on a journey to finish other evil entities that have threatened the tranquility of the world by acquiring more power through the consumption of more souls.
The show regardless of the hate has still managed to muster a cohort of fans who love it not for the sake of it being an action-packed drama but rather due to the balanced mixture of conventionalism and freshness throughout the show. Today, fans still await its return, and understandably so, immersing oneself in nostalgia has become a part of human propensity.
