Making its debut in 2008 as a light novel series written by Ichei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama Zero and later adapted to anime in 2012. Produced by TNK and directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa, High School DxD is one of the most cherished anime and manga series of all time. The anime finally arrived on AT-X, Tokyo’s satellite TV channel from the 6th of January to the 23rd of March 2012. The story is pivot around Issei Hyoudou, a second-year high schooler who has a propensity to doing perverted things along with his friends Matsuda and Motohama and desires to be a ‘ harem king’.
To the dismay of his dreams, he gets killed on his first date with a girl, who reveals herself to be a fallen angel, one of the three factions indulged in an ongoing war. He is then saved by a devil girl and gets reincarnated into the devil himself as subservient to her ends. The show without any blemish delivers a coalesce of emotions such as humor, thrill, and mystery into a Harem framework.
High School DxD Season 5 Release Date
The show in its entirety of 4 seasons is widely loved by the fans and understandably waiting for the 5th season with utmost excitement. As of now the release date for the 5th season has not been confirmed but according to reliable sources such as TheNuHerald, it is speculated to make its appearance on November 1st, 2021. Earlier, the anime was scheduled to air in 2020 but due to the pandemic, it had to be delayed as is the case with other animes which also planned to air in 2020. However, we would still like to reiterate that the confirmation from the side of the makers is not yet arriving.

High School DxD Season 5 Characters
The cast despite the various speculations going around is majorly going to return back to action. The new character arrivals and departures have mightily become a matter of commotion among the fans. Despite the clamor and speculations on the prospects of the cast, the familiar voices are going to return with Yuki Kaji as Issei Hyoudou, Ayana Taketaksu as Koneko Toujou, Yoko Hikasa as Rias Gremory, Shizuka Ito as Akeno Himejima, and Azumi Asakura as Asia Argento. Besides the cast, the visuals and the animation team are also set to make their comebacks but with a little shift to a new studio, which will result in the demolition of the prior visual experiences with the series.

High School DxD Season 5 Story
Earlier being an all-girls school and now turned into a co-ed, Kuoh Academy is the setting from where the storyline commences. The uncanny feature of this academy is that the student population here comprises normal humans, angels, fallen angels, and devils. Facetiously, one of the students Issei Hyodo a perverted 2nd-year high schooler spends his whole life under the appellation ‘human’ but soon he ends up no longer being so.
How? Well, it is established in the first episode itself where after a regular day a girl named Yuma Amano asks him out. Having strived for a girl his entire life Issei without any reluctance agrees to go out with her on a date. After their date, Yuma brings him to a park near the fountain revealing her true identity that she was a fallen angel and wished to kill him. She eventually gets Issei killed, but then saved by Rias Gremory, a girl from the Kuoh Academy who also happened to be one of the most popular personalities and also a devil.
She reveals her true identity to Issei when he wakes up after getting attacked by another fallen angel. She tells him that as a result of his death at the hands of Yuma, she has resurrected him back to his life as a devil and in return asks him to be her solemn servant.
After becoming her pawn and a member of Occult Research Club he then gets embroiled in the Evil Dragon war and in the aftermath gets promoted to the rank of High-Class devil which acts as a stepping stone in getting him one step closer to becoming a ‘Harem King’. This desire of his remains intact throughout the show which gives a motive and unitive element to his character.

High School DxD Review
The manga was considered among the top-selling manga copies in Japan. In addition to this when this manga was adapted into an anime the series was able to garner positive and favorable reviews from the critics as well as the audience. The positive reception was the reason behind the making of 4 seasons of High School DxD. Fans have appreciated its strong plot and the characters. The animation used in this series is also worth watching.
