John David Anderson commonly referred to as John Anderson is an infamous American singer cum songwriter. He was born on the 13th of December 1954, which means he will be turning 68 in the coming month. He started working in the music industry at an age of 23 and has had a successful career since then.
He is said to give life to country music, they are worth listening to. His songs have been a vibe for both us and the generations that grew up before us. The best song of his to date is “Swingin” followed by multiple more brilliantly written, sung, and composing music.

John was brought to this world on the 13th of December 1954 by Juanita Anderson and his father George Anderson. He has three siblings namely, Donna Kay Anderson, Tim Anderson, and Deanna Anderson Wall with Donna and Deanna also being musical artists.
He was raised in Apopka, Florida and his first musical influence was not that of country music but rather of rock and roll with his influence being Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones. He even played in a rock band up until the age of 15.
After the age of 15, he came across George Jones and Merle Haggard’s music which diverted his attention and efforts toward what he is known for now. In the year 1971, he shifted to Tennessee and took up odd jobs in the day so that he could play music in the clubs after that.
His efforts and the music he used to play in the club are what brought him to his first single which was a contract with Warner Bros. He came up on the Billboard Country chart in that year itself and has been on a swing ever since.
John Anderson’s wife namely, Jamie Anderson herself is a cancer survivor and they have been married for about 40 years since they got married back in the year 1983 on the 18th of October. John has two daughters. John dearly loves his family and even mentioned them in his tribute song named, “Years”.
He appreciated his wife for always being around and supporting him irrespective and said they made a family a family that would be left around after he and his wife dies so as to see a world they never would with the eyes they never could.

John has had a wonderfully hit career of over 40 years and would have continued to have more if not for his health issues. He released his first single back in the year 1977 with the name ‘I’ve Got a Feelin’ (Somebody’s Been Stealin’)” this single of his made its way to the Billboard Country Chart and then came his song “The Girl at the End of the Bar” which was released in the year 1978 and it made its way to the country Top 40.
He had a backwoods accent and also a distinctive vocal and the time he came out was exactly the time as the world was welcoming the “New Traditionalist” music a movement that appreciated and indulged in change for newer and better music.
His fourth album “Wild and Blue” followed by his single “Swingin” tore through all his obstacles and wrote his name on a hard stone in the history of America’s country music. “Swingin” is the biggest-selling record even in the history of Warner Bros.
Later on, he left Warner Bros. Records and signed a contract with MCA Records, Capitol Records, and BNA Records respectively to release multiple albums and then on started working with producers like James Stroud.
