John was born on 17 December 1972 in Bombay, Maharashtra, in a family with mixed religion and cultural heritage, his father is a Malayali Syrian Christian and his mother an Iranian Zorastrian, growing up John followed both the religions, and cultures, he even has a Zorastrian name Farhan, but he was baptised with the name John, he has a younger brother Alan Abraham.
