Based on the 2014 novel of the same title by Liane Moriarty, Big Little Lies is an American drama series. The show is written and created by David E. Kelley. The first episode of season 1 aired on HBO on 19th February, 2017. Till now it has two seasons with seven episodes each. It’s rated 8.5/10 on IMDb and 89% of people liked it on Rotten tomatoes.
Jean-Marc Vallée directed the first season while the second season was transferred to director Andrea Arnold. It was originally tagged as a mini series but seeing the amazing response for season 1, the creators renewed it for another season. Both of these seasons are now available on Disney+ Hotstar.
Big Little Lies Season 3 Release Date
There is no official news of Big Little Lies season 3 renewal so far. The previous season of Big Little Lies was released in 2019. Since then, the directors have not decided about the future of the show. Although season 1 was a huge success, the second season did now get much appreciation. The audience has claimed that season 2 was a “drag.”
After season 1 was released, there was a two-year gap until the release of season 2. Accordingly, viewers expected that a third season might be released in 2021. But alas! There is no such development or news about the renewal of the show.

Although it’s based on the novel, seasons 1 and 2 have had their own alterations. As for season 3, there are no more plot ideas in the source material. It can be predicted that Big Little Lies Season 3 might resolve the cliffhangers and plot holes that were shown in the season 2 finale.
The Monterey Five went to the police station but the camera did not show us why. However,the audience guessed that Bonnie would confess that it was her who pushed Perry down the stairs after she saw him harass Celeste. We can also expect the rest of the characters to support Bonnie’s statement.

Big Little Lies Season 3 Cast
Big Little Lies season 3 might see most of the important cast members returning. Robin Weigert, who played the role of Dr. Amanda Reisman may return back. In addition, Douglas Smith may also return as Corey, who is Jane’s colleague and love interest.
The viewers may also expect to see Alexander Sharsgård on screen as Perry. However, since Perry is dead, he may appear in some of the flashback scenes. The most awaited actress Meryl Streep may have difficulties returning, given her busy schedule. It is not clear yet whether her character, Mary Louise will return in future.
