StarPlus is an Indian Hindi language general entertainment pay TV channel owned by Disney Star (formerly Star India), a subsidiary of The filmmaker Company India. The network’s programming consists of family dramas, comedies, youth-oriented reality shows, shows on crime, and tv films. When it was first launched on 21 February 1992, StarPlus was an English-language entertainment TV channel broadcasting international television shows from the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand, with Zee TV being the Hindi-language counterpart. On 31 March 1996, after Star ended its relationship with Zee TV, StarPlus was transformed completely into a Hindi-language channel, with Star World becoming the network’s English-language counterpart channel, and also the company’s CEO Sameer Nair and programming chief Tarun Katial introduced a variety of recent shows, which helped solidify the channel’s position because the leader within the Hindi-language television broadcasting area. The channel launched within u. s. in November 2004.
The channel’s HD feed was launched on April 15, 2011. It contains the same schedule as the SD feed but with different commercials. Hotstar recently launched in the Canadian market. On January 4, 2019, Star similarly closed its linear channel in the US in favor of the Hotstar service. In the early 2000s, StarPlus ranked third in revenue and viewership behind Zee TV and Sony Entertainment Television, but neither series made the top ten. With the launch of the Indo-Hindi version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, the series became an instant hit, becoming the #1 show, followed by Kyunki Saas Be Kabi on the same day. Buff Ti was launched, after which StarPlus quickly became the most-watched channel, while StarPlus quickly became the most-watched channel. This was followed by Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii in October 2000, followed by Kasautii Zindagi Kay a year later, and more productions under Balaji Telefilms, with StarPlus having the highest ratings during that period. and has since propelled the channel to No. 1. Most of the series aired on the channel during this period (80-90%) were produced by Balaji Telefilms. At the time, the star was generating 70% of the production company’s revenue.
1. Kasauti Zindagi Ki 3
Kasautii Zindagii Ki is an Indian drama television series produced by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms. This is Kapoor’s reboot of her 2001 soap opera of the same name, which will air on Star Plus from 25 September 2018 to 3 October 2020 of his, starring Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernandes, Hina Khan, Curran Sing Rover. Jannat is an Indian television series that aired on the DD Metro channel in 2001 and moved to Star Plus from December 2001 to 2002 later that year. The Show was a Sanjay Khan-produced Muslim family drama about Jannat (Karkashan Patel) and her family. Jannat is in love with Aman Khan (Siraj Mustafa Khan) and her cousin Naaz (Lata Sabharwal), to whom she has been married for over three years. Naaz is unable to conceive and is sexually abused by her stepmother. The series explores Jannat’s strength and her personality while helping Naaz deal with her problems. Through twists and turns, the story tells the strength of a Muslim girl. Jannat wanted her betrothed, but she decided to help her Naaz by marrying Aman and having a child. 3. Nazar 3
Nazar (Transl Evil Eye) is an Indian supernatural thriller series produced by 4 Lions Films and directed by Atif Khan, airing on StarPlus and digitally streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Season 1 of the franchise aired from July 30, 2018, to February 18, 2020. She played Monalisa, Harsh Rajput, and Niyati Fatnani, and apart from gaining popularity, she performed well on the TRP charts. Season 2 of the franchise, which replaced season 1, premiered on February 19, 2020, and starred Mona Lisa and Shruti Sharma. Despite the high ratings, the second season of Nazar was aired due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation and high production demand.
A Telefilm Of Nazar premiered on Star Plus on October 10, 2021 under the name Ankahee Dastaan - Nazar. The story begins in 2000 with Mohana Rathod, a 251-year-old Dayan, ripping the life force out of his victims to maintain a parasitic existence. She lives in a tree in the village and casts a spell on a businessman, Mridul Rathod, and marries him. They have a child named Ansh and Kajal. Mohana helps her husband amass a huge fortune in black magic while gradually draining his vitality, ultimately leading to his untimely death.

4. Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke 2
Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke is an Indian-Hindi drama television series that aired on Star Plus from 18 March 2019 to 17 October 2020. A branch of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Productions and starring Rhea Sharma and Shaheer Sheikh. Set in Rajkot and following the journey of Mishti Agrawal and Abir Rajvansh, the story challenges age-old notions of arranged marriages and relationships. Mishti is a friendly and down-to-earth girl, she believes in independence and compatibility in relationships. Away from her parents, Naman and Karishma, she was raised in the Maheshwari family. Abir is a happy boy who expresses his feelings through art and poetry.
5. Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani 2
Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani 2 is an upcoming series of Star Plus launching soon in 2021. The story of Pyar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani 2 is inspired by the first season of Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani. Two hundred vampires fall in love with a normal girl and fight evil spirits together. Ekta Kapoor is famous for her Supernatural series and is the producer of the Naagin series and her Brahmarakshas 2. She makes a comeback to the genre with her Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani 2. 6. Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon 4
Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? is an Indian Girlfriend Hindi romantic drama television series that aired on Star Plus from 6 June 2011 to 30 November 2012. Produced by Gul Khan under 4 Lions Films and starring Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani. On November 24, 2015, Hotstar launched his eight-episode web series Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. – Ek Jashn extend Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?
