You will find yourself surprised at the end with the plot twists.

4. The Missing

In series one, a child named Oliver gets missing in France and his father Tony tries to find the child and the culprit, even after more than eight years, he cannot fathom the fact and ask Julien Baptiste a retired detective who first tried to solve the case back when Oliver got missing. They both try to solve the case and get surprising information about the police department. In series two Julian Baptiste can be seen again solving the missing case of another little girl but this time in Germany and Iran. The Netflix original series tells an interesting and emotional story about a true crime.

10. The White Lotus

Based on Criminal Justice, The Night Of is another great series with drama and mystery about a naive Pakistani man in the USA who is charged with murder, but is he really innocent, and if he is innocent why would someone try to frame him, who is the real culprit and many other questions will come in your mind, while you would watch this show. With an IMDb rating of 8.5 out of 10 and five Primetime Emmy Awards, The Night Of should be on your watchlist if you have enjoyed Mare Of Easttown.

14. Happy Valley

Strong female leads are the perfect addition to shows, it makes the show relatable for us ladies, maybe we are not their solving cases but we can feel that raw feminine emotion. Just like Mare Of Easttown, Happy Valley also stars a female protagonist in the role of a police sergeant. Catherine Cawood played by Sarah Lancashire is in pain in the loss of her teenage daughter Becky even after eight years, she has divorced her husband and lives with her sister Clare who is an alcoholic and drug addict, Catherine takes care of her grandson Ryan with her sister and both her husband and elder son does not want to be related to Ryan, Becky died of suicide because she was raped and then gave birth to Ryan. Catherine gets to know that the man who raped and drove her daughter Becky to suicide Tommy Lee Royce played by James Norton is out of jail after eight years, he was in jail because of drug charges. Catherine is on the way to give justice to her daughter and save other people from the crime of Tommy Lee Royce. In the second season the story gets even more interesting because now Catherine finds herself in a murder case, she is trying to prove her innocence and on the other side, Ryan is beginning a new friendship with a woman who is associated with Tommy and is trying build a relationship so that she can make Catherine pay. 

15. The Outsider

Psychological horror is the new horror we all have to accept, it is so scary to watch even if the typical jumpscares and scary faces are not present. The Outsider is a great show to watch, the story will make you feel scared and thrilling moments will make you more interested in the show. It stars Ben Mendelsohn, Cynthia Erivo, Bill Camp, Paddy Considine, Julianne Nicholson, and Jason Bateman, based on a novel by Stephen King, The Outsider is a must-see.

16. Seven Seconds

Racial injustice is prevalent in today’s world, and this series throws light on just that, when a police officer accidentally hits a black teenager, he tries to clear the scene with his fellow police officers. They couldn’t swipe the crime under the rug, as the whole town is demanding justice and answers as to why the authorities did not do anything. The show is brave and deep to watch, with a more than average rating of 7.7 on IMDb, the show also managed to win an Emmy Award and got nominated for a Golden Globes. 

17. Killing Eve

Everything about Killing Eve is as perfect as it can be, the comedy, thrill, and quite romantic banter between Eve played by Sandra Oh and Villanelle played by Jodie Comer. The story is dramatic, full of black comedy and thrill, every moment will make the viewers bite their tongues with questions as to what will happen next. The series is not as serious as Mare Of Easttown was but definitely has the same vibe to it, the show is light and keeps the viewers on edge with the mystery. Killing Eve is about a serial killer Villanelle who is famous for her neat work and is out there killing high-profile people, and Eve works at British Intelligence but is bored with her desk work after getting fired from her job, she joins a secret department to find Villanelle which is led by Carolyn Martens played by Fiona Shaw.

The relationship between Villanelle and Eve is obsessive even after hating each other they are obsessed with each other. When in the first season they were working against each other, the second season makes them work together. Killing Eve has an IMDb rating of 8.4 out of 10, and the show managed to get critical acclamation and also received many nominations for a lot of prestigious awards such as the Golden Globes and Primetime Emmy Awards.
