The Village Season 2 Release Date – An Intimidating Horror Tale!
No matter how much you run, you can never hide from your past deeds. The Kattiyal village has a dark mystery of its own and as the Doctor looks out for his wife and daughter, some shocking truth comes up in the picture. The creators have undoubtedly done a good job at the execution of this story. The latest Tamil horror-thriller ended with a major cliffhanger! Maya’s future remains uncertain, and we still don’t know whether the mutant reaction has stopped forever or not!
Thankfully, Gautham’s daughter is safe now, but the question is, how long will she be okay? The Village will surely make a comeback with Season 2. The Village Season 1 Summary – The Beginning Of The Spooky Tale!
This story begins with a short family trip. To beat the tiring traffic jam, Gautham thought of taking a shortcut and thus the Subramanian family reached the terrifying village of Kattiyal. The series not only emphasises on present time but also takes us back to 1989. This introduces us to Sairaj and Ponraj. Back then this strange village was under an authoritarian rule, and these two brothers did everything possible to trouble the villagers to a huge extent. Out of so many villagers, Pavazhakodi and Karunagam caught our attention the most.
As the story moves forward we will see how Ponraj molested Pavazhakodi! With anger and rage in his eyes, Karu straightaway drags Ponraj and goes directly to Sairaj’s house. But to stop the feud from stretching any further, Shakthivel appeared and tried to get the situation under control. That day, a brother had to gulp in the fact that her sister was humiliated and tortured in front of everyone and he couldn’t do anything much to stop the wrong!
But this story gears up even further when Sairaj thinks of selling the land to Exogenyx. The company was meant to extract Lanthanite and to do so the owner of the company, GSR, ordered everyone to evacuate the place. The poor villagers were forced to shift to a nearby land. Not only that, but even Sakthi decided to walk away from his parents and best friend.
The Village Season 1 – How Did The Mutant Reaction Start?
GSR’s son, Prakash couldn’t walk since childhood and the only chemical that can probably cure him happens to be Lanthanite. But all the scientists he hired for the lab, made a complete blunder in carrying out those science experiments. They weren’t getting the results they were looking for, but greed made them lose their natural conscience.
Shockingly enough, when the chemical was injected into domestic animals, they rapidly changed into violent creatures. Slowly and steadily, Sairaj and his wife understood that they must get their lands back. But by then, it was already too late for them to act. They thought of destroying the main laboratory, but to reach the end they must cross the mines.
Things became even more disturbing when a sudden Tsunami appeared to kill them all. But even after such a horrifying disaster, Sairaj along with a few other villagers managed to survive anyhow. Because they couldn’t find a way out of the mine, they had nothing to eat but to feast upon the infectious animals and drink the chemical portions! This is where the mutant reaction began!

The Village Season 1 Ending Explained – Was Gautham Able To Save His Family?
The mutants continued to grow because of Mala! Sairaj managed to get a hold of her and used her to reproduce more such monstrous species. When Gautham lost his wife and son, Karu and Shakthi came to his rescue! The trio was also accompanied by Farhan’s team. The quadruple now had only one mission in mind. They must find a way out of this dark world. To do so, they must put an end to this death game.
Unfortunately, Karu was brutally killed when he was fighting the largest mutant of them all. But Shakthi was successful in taking his revenge on Vettaiyan. He sacrificed himself to give his best friend the justice he deserved. Not only did he manage to defeat the demon, but he also killed Mala, so that the mutant reaction could be stopped forever. But when he was killing them all, he lost his personal will to survive any further!
On the other hand, Farhan, Tejas, and Gautham along with his whole family, managed to find a way out of the mines. But surprisingly Prakash was there to greet them all. He thought of collecting more samples from the mines. Ultimately, we will see how he plans to resume his experiments in Singapore! But the main catch is, there is a possibility that Maya has become one of the mutants!
The Village Season 2 Spoilers Alert & More – The Death Game Isn’t Over Yet!
On one hand, Prakash still wishes to walk and we still don’t know what lies in his future. On the other hand, Gautham’s adorable daughter, Maya is now in danger! It seems like the monsters are yet not gone from Gautham’s life. Sadly, the dog named Hectic was injected with the chemical formula. Later during the climax of Season 1, we will see how Maya was bitten by the same dog.
She had a weird purple-coloured mark on her hand, but by the end of The Village Season 1, somehow her injury had healed completely. Soon after, Neha and Gautham will realise that Maya has mistakenly come in contact with the liquid kept in the vial of the Exogenyx lab. Now the main question is, whether Maya will change into a monster or not. Again, Prakash was so curious to heal himself, that he couldn’t wait any further and took the serum at a premature stage.
He did get up from the wheelchair and walked a few steps! But then he abruptly collapsed and we saw foam oozing out from his mouth. It seems like he is not going to live further! But the question is, did he die for all, or is he also a monster now? The Village Season 2 will surely answer all our doubts. Hopefully, in the second instalment of the show, we will get more insight about this lethal experiment! The trouble is still not over yet and Gautham is definitely not free from the ghosts of Kattiyal. Luckily, Gautham was able to save Neha and Maya.
