The victim of this decision becomes Jia Cheng, a low-ranking devil and Shanshan, an innocent angel. Their circumstances force them to marry and strengthen the truce. However, they don’t despise each other truly and do not want to form any sort of relationship. In the end, though, their choice is stomped over by their sense of duty and Cheng and Shanshan agree to tie the knot.
