The film 72 Hoorain has received its trailer recently. 7th July 2023 has been selected as the release date of this film. Even if we still have a lot of time before the release of the film, the trailer of the film has already shaken the nation. India is one such country that has suffered several terrorist attacks. Although the media houses have covered all the major news, there are still certain stories that are uncovered. The filmmakers have taken it upon themselves to unfold these hidden stories.

We have been witnessing this since the start of colonisation. Therefore, in the present world, it is nothing new that terrorists want to use terror as a means to establish their supremacy. However, such acts of terrorism are a disruption to the human society. These acts lead to damage to a country, and these damages are made known to the people through films like 72 Hoorain and The Kerala Story.
The filmmakers have decided to unearth the truth working behind the acts of terrorists. How are these terrorists persuaded and convinced? What are the propagandas that are being used by the fundamentalists and the extremists? All of these areas are going to be explored by the film. The trailer has revealed certain aspects of the film that we are going to make known to you. However, before we proceed, we need to acknowledge the bravery of the filmmakers in making such films. 72 Hoorain Story
The term film means “72 beautiful virgin women”. In the film, we are going to have two protagonists named Bilal and Hakim. Now, Bilal and Hakim are ordinary men, but soon enough, they are taken under an extremist organisation where they are brainwashed. Both of the men are promised “72 Hoorain” in their afterlife if they carry out acts of violence against humans in the name of Allah. However, the twist lies in the fact that Bilal and Hakim, after their deaths, do not meet the “72 Hoorain” they were promised. They got “shaheed” for the cause of Allah in hopes of mating with the “72 Hoorain”, but in reality, they are just wandering the earth as ghosts and reliving the horrors of their past.
Later in the trailer, it is revealed that the film is going to revolve around the Mumbai terror attack of 26/11. The movie revolves around the extremist views of the Fidayeens. How these Fidayeens perpetrate violence against the human population has been showcased in the film. The film will try to uphold the truth to us as it promised in its trailer.

72 Hoorain Controversy
72 Hoorain is going to be a controversial film. From the trailer, we can understand that a certain religious community has been portrayed, yet again, in the “bad” light. Although, as of now, we cannot stress this fact very much because unless the film is released, we cannot speculate that 72 Hoorain is a propagandist film. What we can understand is the film is going to unravel some terrifying truths about terrorism.
Arguments are going on regarding the censoring of certain scenes from the trailer of 73 Hoorain by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Also, we have to keep in mind that there is a misogynistic undertone in the film. Here the men are motivated to act because they are promised beautiful virgin women in their afterlife. Is not this a sexist viewpoint?
