Netflix dropped the first season of Indian Matchmaking on 16th July 2020. All the episodes of the first season were released on the same date. People during the pandemic found a new kind of entertainment to watch on their televisions. In today’s world where people are either referring to internet dating apps or websites, Sima Aunty’s show Indian Matchmaking revived the old form of matchmaking that the earlier generations used to perform.

Season 3 of Indian Matchmaking has brought some variety into it. The criticisms that she received affected her in several ways. People considered the show to be false and scripted, but in this interview, she debunked all such myths. She clearly stated that the show is a documentary of her daily job. She did not hesitate to point out how people called out on her methods and marked her job in easy and deprecating terms.
All these had put her through a lot and season 3 of Indian Matchmaking would not have appeared on the screens. However, now we have the show with us, and we can enjoy it on Netflix.
