National Treasure is a very famous film franchise that has two films named National Treasure and National Treasure: Book of Secrets. After the release of two films, the makers planned to make a television series following the films. The TV series named National Treasure: Edge of History was announced by Jerry Bruckheimer in the year 2020 in one of his interviews. Fans were quite excited about the release of the series.
National Treasure: Edge Of History is created by Cormac Wibberley and Marianne Wibberley, who is popularly known as The Wibberleys. The film and the TV series are based on the characters created by Jim Kouf, Charles Segars, and Oren Aviv. The TV series will have ten episodes in its first season. Five episodes have been released as of now. The last episode is scheduled to be released on February 8, 2023.

There is a possibility of another season with Nicholas Cage as the main character like in all the films. If such a thing happens, all the fans of National Treasure will be happy. Fans were waiting for the release of another movie in the franchise. The second movie was released in 2007. It had been 15 years since the release of the second movie. Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed in August 2022, that the script for another movie has been completed and it will soon be filmed.

If there will be another season of the series, it will also have a similar plot to all the movies and season 1 of the National Treasure Franchise. Fans were quite upset to know that Nicholas Cage was not a part of the first season. Some are hoping to see him taking a grand entry in the later episodes. If the following doesn’t happen, there is a possibility of another season starring Nicholas Cage.
