And The Witcher: Blood Origin is a prequel that introduces us to the world before the ultimate monster hunt begins. You will be treated to a brilliantly crafted series that is as insightful as it is dramatic. In fact, we were introduced to the royal bloodline, the elven world, and the pivotal moments that led the world to where it is now.
The actors are, of course, commendable, and the set-up doesn’t seem to disappoint either. But the storyline is a huge chagrin. The action is on point, and there are moments that feel like the makers’ compensation for the lack of story development. Especially at the point where the ultimate transformations occur, we are left dreamy and visually arrested.
But then came questions like the link between the Legends of the Seven. And the origin of Monoliths and their drastic powers, which made us question our decision to watch this prequel. This series did a fantastic job introducing us to the lives of our seven deadly warriors. But that is all it did—give us an introduction, not a description. It has the worst audience score; the critics are sour; and the creation of this series is a sore disappointment. It would have been preferable if the creators had focused solely on delivering the fantastic Witchers sequels to us, rather than the prequels.
Is The Witcher Universe About To Collapse?
Fortunately, the makers have not yet ruled out the possibility of The Witcher: Blood Origin season 2.
