Adamas Series Review

At first sight, it appears that Adamas uses every technique in the book to write a crime thriller. Heavy rain? Check. Unsettling music? Please confirm. Prison cells that are empty and abandoned and where inmates will undoubtedly be killed? Let’s go for it.

The conversation in the first part of the inaugural episode seems overdone, and it appears as though characters are being given cue cards. However, after what looks like a lot of exposition, the tale at least somewhat captures your interest. Ji Sung portrays both twin brothers in the film Adamas. Woo-shin and Soo-Hyun are wry crime novelists who haven’t recovered from their biological father’s savage murder of their stepfather.

Woo-shin is also a caustic prosecutor. When obstinate reporter Kim So-hee, who is convinced their father was set up, broaches the matter with prosecutor Soo-Hyun (Ji Sung), who instructs her to leave his office, we realize they are still in pain. But as seen by the frequency with which he reads the earlier case reports, the seeds of uncertainty have already been planted in his mind. You are entirely mistaken if you believe that there is only one enigma at hand. Adamas is ambitious in that it develops multiple secrets at once, nearly making one worry that the program would ultimately become disorganized, twisted, and messy. It seems to be growing several sophisticated webs of duplicity, power struggles, and even a heated infusion of politics, with the morality of the death penalty, tossed in for good measure. With so many storylines, the show almost feels bloated. We can only hope that each one is handled with interest and, more importantly, contributes to the overall premise. If all of these discussions are useless, it would be unfortunate.

Adamas Episode 12 Release Date

Prosecutor Soo-Hyun reflects on what Kim So-hee said while his brother Woo-shin goes off on another expedition and has peculiar intentions. He appears to have a strange ghostwriting assignment to do. He is penning the autobiography of Kwon, a questionable chairman. The latter lives in a lavish mansion with several devoted staff members and his icy daughter-in-law Eun Hye-soo (Seo Ji-Hye). Seo Ji-Hye is a character whose past we are interested in learning more about because of her strange, cold, mysterious behaviour that is more captivating than anything else in the program. She handles her cards very carefully and tells Woo-shin right away that he has entered a dangerous area and that he should pack his bags and go. She doesn’t hold back while talking about the chairman and comes close to branding him a murderer. He won’t go anyplace, which is necessary for the plot to develop, and instead, he is more interested in the chairman with his actions—or, in this case, his transgressions. Each character in the series seems suspicious, possibly confusing the viewers.

By the episode’s conclusion, some unmistakable villains emerge from the shadows, but they might be puppets or distractions. Choi Tae-Song, an undercover police officer with motives for snooping on the chairman, is added to this peculiar concoction by Heo Sung Tae. Woo-shin decides to make a deal with Tae-song because he has information about him; his true motive is discovered at the end of the episode: He desires Adamas, a sword with a diamond tip. We include this in the long list of things we don’t know why we’re unsure about. The first episode of Adamas has several exciting moments. The first episode has established some intriguing mysteries and characters, even though the show appears to have trouble finding its rhythm. Hopefully, the show will become much more succinct and less disorganized in the upcoming episodes.
