Now coming to the murder case that has been closely related to Delia Owen, many of us don’t know that before Delia started writing professionally, she and her husband worked as a nature conservationists in Africa, and with the other workers there, they had many fired encounters with armed poachers who were targeting the wildlife out there.
Some of the poachers were shot dead in those encounters and the body was never retrieved of those poachers and the case still goes on, and according to some sources mark dropped the body in a lagoon somewhere using his helicopter. However, no proper proof has been found against the couple and thus we don’t find any conclusion as to how this has any conversion with the murder case that has been depicted in her book.

We see how her lifestyle is there and how she loves collecting shells and feathers and her father too leaves drinking, till the day comes when a letter from her mother arrives and her father goes back to drinking and leaves one day. Soon she starts living alone and a time skip takes place, and we enter phase 2 of the story, a story where Kya is treated like an outcast because of where she lives and how she spends her life. She falls in love with a neighborhood guy and a friend of her sibling Tate, who also abandons her because of her unpresentable ways.
Followed by this we see her falling in love with a guy named chase who is a celebrity as well as a playboy and convinces her to have sex with him but soon marries someone else. Now things change when one day chase tries to confront and rape her, and there is a gap in the story and suddenly we see the murder of chase after a few days. The case ends up having Kya jailed for 2 months but she proves herself not guilty and goes back to living with Tate, but soon when she dies, Tate inherits a box which is the proof of she was the actual killer who killed chase and that’s how the story comes to an end.

The cast that the directors of this movie had selected is also an excellent one, we have some great actors performing in this movie and contributing a lot to the success of this movie. We see the role of Kya being played by Daisy Edgar Jones when she has grown up and for the younger ages, we see the role being played by Jojo Regina. Then the role of Tate is played by Taylor john smith when the character is grown up and for younger ages, it is performed by Luke David Blum. The role of chase has been performed by Harris Dickson. There are many other great actors who have played some side characters in the movie and they have also contributed a lot to the excellent movie we all have received.

The book from which this movie has been adapted came out in the year 2018 and the writer Delia Owens has been working on this book for quite a long time. The book was adapted for a movie in the year 2021 and finally, we receive the movie version of the book on the 15th of July 2022. The movie was actually scheduled to be released on the 24th of June 2022 however some internal problems delayed the release a bit and we finally received this great movie in the month of July. The movie has an approximate runtime of 2 hours and 5 minutes which is great, and the only thing that we can say about this movie is that it is actually worth a watch and every reader who has read it till now should give this movie a chance.
