Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken or That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a television anime from 2018. This series of Anime is based on light novel series which was written by Fuse. This anime is about a man who is killed and reincarnated in another world as a slime named Rimuru.
This anime is directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi and animated by Eight Bit. The character in this series is designed by Ryouma Ebata and Takahiro Kishida. This series was originally scheduled to be released on March 29, 2019, as an OVA but was delayed until December 4 of the same year, and bundled with the 13th manga volume. The series ran for 24 episodes.
The series was Simulcast on Crunchyroll with an English dubbed version aired by Funimation. The second season of the show was released on July 9, 2019, bundled with the 12th megabook by Fuse. The first season of the show which was released in October 2018, consists of 24 episodes and each episode is 20 to 25 minutes long. Soon after the release of the season, Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken gained a huge fan base and becomes very popular in Japan.
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Season 3 Release Date
After two successful seasons, Tensei Shtara Slime Datta Ken or That Time I Got Reincarnated is releasing a lot of original animation videos just to continue the story. The third Original Animation DVD was released on March 27, 2020, as a bundle of the 14th edition of the book by Fuse. The fourth OAD was released on July 9, 2020, based on the 15th manga. The Fifth OAD was released on November 11, 2020.
So, there is no actual season for Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken but small OVDs to continue the story based on a specific edition of Manga by Fuse. There is a rumor around that the next OVD will going to be the last OVD for the show Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken or That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, then they will release the original movie based on the last manga editions to conclude the story, which is going to release by the October of 2022.
It is not just the source material that determines whether an anime gets renewed or not, but also its reviews and ratings, fanbase, and content that are left to conclude the story. In recent years, the isekai series has consistently ranked among the top shows, and its fan base continues to grow. Sixteen volumes of the same light novel series have been covered, and there is still enough material left for a few more seasons.
So, bottom line is that there will be no season 3 but a short movie with concludes the storyline.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Season 2 Recap
In Shizu’s memory, in the Kingdom of Filtwood, two adventures must stop a demon from reviving its corpse under the castle. The demon agrees to her request, thinking it would be an amusing distraction. Some of the group withdraw when they hear the silver wings, famous adventures, were killed by the demon. The minister refuses to allow them to leave, revealing some of the group are demon-possessed, causing paranoia. One of the crowds, the demon from behind, starts laughing and claims that the knights summoned the lesser demon but does not explain it very well.
In search of the demon’s owner, he reveals his intention to kill all the adventure who are present. Shizu refuses to let that happen and duels with the being named Kuro. As one of his blows is reflected by Shizu’s mask, the demon’s arm is ripped off. He decides to discontinue the fight, saying that it was amusing because Shizu had been able to hurt him. Shizu then recalls how Leon told her that the most powerful demons were the progenitors, known by colors such as Rouge also Red and Noir also Black.
As Shizu, who is still worn out from her fight, is taken beneath the castle by one of the knights, it is revealed that the king and minister were puppets of the same Demon she was hired to stop, Orthos. The demon has taken on the persona of the hero who previously defeated him, so he became an archdemon. Now the adventure and Shizu are to be sacrificed to regain the demon’s strength.
