The awards were for best actor and best special effects. The film got awards for best film and best actor for Yash at the 66th Filmfare awards south. The film was hugely acclaimed. Part 2 will also be eligible for awards as it was a long wait for the audience. KGF got the opportunity to b screened at the 11th Bangalore International Film Festival which was held on 28th February 2019. It later was awarded for Best Picture in the Entertainment category.
