The plotline of 12th Fail revolves around the character Manoj Kumar Sharma. Manoj Kumar Sharma was born to a clerk. His father was arrested by the police officers on accounts of misbehaving with one of the officials (but he was deserved the behaviour for being corrupt). Manoj on the other hand was preparing for his class 12 exams then. He was making cheat slips for his exams. However, even though he made all these cheat slips, he was not able to pass in his Class 12 exams due to DSP Dushyant Singh who stopped cheating in the exams.
DSP Dushyant Singh encouraged Manoj to become an officer like him. As a result, Manoj decided to become an officer like Mr. Singh. His path was not simple at all. Instead, he had to face various hurdles in his way of becoming an IPS officer. He failed in his preliminary exams, but he did not stop. With the help of Gauri Bhaiya, he did not stop in his way. Gauri Bhaiya made an appropriate environment for Manoj to study for his exams.
Meanwhile, Manoj fell in love with another aspirant, Shradhha. Shraddha constantly supported him in his endeavors and never stopped once. She was also right beside him.
