Episode 14 of season 5 of the show dealt with one case titled “Justice For Bonnie”. It is here where we learned about the serial killer Kenneth Dion. In today’s piece of information, we are going to know about the killer and his correct location. If you are willing to know more about the case, you have come to the right place. We are going to provide you with all the important information that is there.
Where Is Kenneth Dion Now?
Kenneth Dion is presently incarcerated in Wildwood Correctional Complex which is located in Salamat, Alaska. He was sentenced to prison for 124 years in 2011. Why? It is because he had been the killer of Bonnie Craig. The case that was silent for 17 years got its perfect justice in 2011. At first, the case of Bonnie Craig was not going anywhere because of the lack of information that the officers had to face. However, since the case was not shut down, the officers, fortunately, got to the truth of it.
We do not have any specific or exclusive information about Kenneth Dion. However, it can be said that Kenneth Dion is a quite skilful man. He has achieved certain heights in Karate and martial arts. In our opinion he could have put them to good use. In fact, he did put them to good use in his early days when he was a soldier. However, his goodness did not survive for long. Not only did he get his hands dirty in the string of robberies that were conducted, but also in murdering Bonnie Craig.
Kenneth Dion will not be given any leave from prison. It has been stated that he will have to serve his years in prison which eventually means that until he is going to die, he will have to stay captivated by the officers. Up till there has been no other information about Dion. He is living his days in prison, and we are not going to hear anything from the prisoner soon. The punishment he has been given is appropriate for him because a criminal like him cannot be let loose because of the acts of violence that he can beget people.
The Death Of Bonnie Craig
The incident of Bonnie Craig’s death is quite unfortunate. She was not related to Dion in any manner. It seems as if she had been a target of Dion for long enough. Had she not been the target of Dion, he would not have perpetrated violence on her. We suspect that Kenneth Dion planned the suffering of Craig. On 28th September 1994, Craig had to meet with her end unknowingly. She was happy in her life. She was a freshman student at the University of Alaska. Her family had communicated that she was a diligent student.
Everything changed for Bonnie for the first and the last time on 28th September 1994. That day, she went out of her around at around 5 am in the morning so that he could board the bus to her university on time. Even before that could happen, she was kidnapped by Dion. She was held hostage by him when he took her to a place near McHugh Creek. She met her tragic end in that location. Kenneth Dion raped her and then killed her by hitting the back of her head with either a Sai or a similar sort of weapon.
How The Case Was Resolved?
At first, Bonnie Craig’s body was discovered floating in McHugh Creek by a stranger. When they informed the police, the police did not waste any time before sending the body for an autopsy. The autopsy report suggested that she had been raped and bludgeoned to death. Later she was thrown into the creek. The sample of semen that was found on her body was not getting matched with any of the criminals then.
In 2006, when Kenneth Dion was arrested, he had to provide his DNA samples. As the case of Bonnie Craig was not shut down, the police were continuing their search. It was in this search that they found out that Kenneth Dion was the perpetrator and the criminal who killed Bonnie Craig. The DNA samples matched leading the case forward. As a result, Dion was not only guilty of the robberies, he had to face a greater punishment because of his involvement in the murder of Bonnie Craig.
