Baki Hanma, is the name most otakus are very familiar with, and it is just not the first name, which makes it memorable, every character who has got the title Hanma, surely has got a big spot in our minds and heart. The entire Hanma family, comprising of the ogre- Yujiro Hanma, then we have got Jack Hanma (who is a beast) and at the end, we have got Baki Hanma, around whom the entire Baki series has been going on for years. We all know how famous the mangas and the animes have been and following that the fan base that this franchise possesses is just something different. Now recently from the third manga series, we see a direct adaption by the Netflix platform, and this is not the first season happening. We already knew that the first season of the Baki Hanma series is out and it hasn’t been able to cover everything that has been written in the manga, so more seasons were coming on our way. However, nobody expected the second season of the show to be this good. The second season has rated very well, and along with that, the fans have been going crazy regarding the hype, Pickle and Baki created at the end of the second season.
However, for all those who haven’t watched the second season, you are missing a lot of things, because you as of now, don’t even know who Pickle is, but just for clarification, he is a primitive man, waking up after 190 million years, and that beast has gained the acknowledgment of The Ogre, which has intimidated many fighters such as Sea King Retsu and the Karate Kid, Katsumi Orochi to engage in a fight with him. Lastly, we get to see two Hanma family members fighting pickle but it is surely Baki who interests us more. Though the second season doesn’t end very easily, a decision has to be made about Pickle, and some of his actions are not very clearly defined, creating a lot of confusion regarding the upcoming story about Pickle. Though no worries, we will explain the entire second season very well in this article.
Baki Hanma Season 2 Ending Explained
As we move towards the end of the second season of the show, let’s give a formal introduction to who Pickle is, he is basically a primitive man, who used to be alive nearly 190 million years ago, but has been preserved while he was fighting a T Rex and now, he has to been woken up after such a long time when a tunnel was being dug. However, this time he has been brought to Japan, so that Professor Payne, who was in charge of the case, can bring some justice to his existence and provide him with a new meaning to life. This man has been named Pickle and that is what Yujiro Hanma acknowledges when he met him for the first time, soon it is up to the various fighters out there, who are getting restless to face him somehow, but it is Officer Stryddem and the noble old man who used to look after these fights, as a new way of giving him things to spend time with and asses his actual power.
Soon we see two recognized fighters Sea King Retsu, losing one of his limbs, and Katsumi Orochi losing his hand while trying to fight Pickle, who used to consider enemies, as merely nothing other than food, however soon we get to see Jack Hanna stealing away Baki’s chance of fighting Pickle but ending up serving as a mere storage of food and nothing else. However, when soon the Baki and Pickle fight started, it was something worth seeing, as Baki first approached him as a friend, but soon made fun of him, which damaged his pride and then they started indulging in a battle. Every part of that battle is worth watching and all of the people present in the stands, starting from Hanamiya to sea king Retsu, acknowledged his capability.
Finally, we see an end to the battle between Pickle and Baki after Pickle took his last and final form of attack which was again tackled by Baki in the best way he could. However, his ego was the one that resulted in an indecisive end to the battle, where neither did Pickle want to have him as his meal, but at the same time, Baki was in no condition to fight as well. However, one thing that Hanamiya stated was Pickle used a move against Baki which just showed how powerful Baki was over Pickle, who dominated almost everyone who came against him.
Soon after the fight, the decisive moment came when Baki and Pickle were good friends and they used to gaze all over Tokyo from the top of a high building, but somewhere else, we see the world voting for the fate of Pickle. It was finally decided that Pickle must be sent back to preservation stages as it was done earlier, and not allowed to live with humans, however, pickle was not something quite tame able, he escaped the lockups, brought the head of the T Rex, he had killed for officer Strydum, as a sign of appreciation for honoring his promise of bringing him to a place where he belonged, and soon he disappeared in the city of Tokyo, however, where he was going, the authorities didn’t know.

Where Can We Watch Baki Hanma Season 2?
Baki Hanma season 2 is available for streaming on the Netflix platform only, however season 2 is available in two parts, the first part is currently available, but the second part which is the Father and the Son saga will be available on the 24th of August 2023.
