This thirty-six-part series was followed by two special episodes that mostly concluded the plot of the series. Moreover, Xiang hasn’t expanded the universe either, justifying the story in one novel. The story of this fantasy drama is quite simple and cliched. Yet, the execution makes it stand out from the rest of the series. Love Between Fairy And Devil Season 1 commences with portraying the rift between the two species. When Dongfang Qingcang (Dylan Wang) aka the Lord Devil raised havoc in the realms of gods and goddesses, he signed his fate with a gloomy pen. The Goddess of War managed to conquer Qingcang and restrict him by sacrificing her life. The only person who could break the spell is Goddess Xi Yun (Yu Shuxin).

Xi Yun is reincarnated as Xiao Lanhua who sets Qingcang free absentmindedly. Moreover, she recklessly casts the “One Heart Curse” onto him. Due to this curse, their hearts fuse into one. Qingcang sets out to break the spell but as you guessed it, ends up falling in love with Xiao. Emotions might not know the nitty-gritty details but enemies do and this duo is met with tons of them.

In the thirty-six episodes, Director Zheng incredibly weaves the forbidden romance trope alongside the fantastical storyline. While Xiao and Qingcang come across a plethora of hurdles, they cling to each other and fight to get their happily ever after. In the end, they succeed and manage to settle the storm raised by their union.

Since Love Between Fairy And Devil Season 2 has no source material and its predecessor hasn’t left any cliffhangers, predicting its plot is tough. Either the makers could portray Quingcang and Xiao’s worlds clashing against each other or put their relationship under duress by introducing a new enemy. Bear in mind, Love Between Fairy And Devil Season 2 is yet to receive approval.
