However, this thing does not happen in the series because we, as an audience, have our entire attention gripped by this woman who is coming from an island in the Haruki Gulf. Since Waiheke Island is situated in the aforementioned Gulf region, the series has been named so.
DSS Jess has had a tragic life story in the series. She lost her husband in a car accident. However, the twist lies in the fact that it was not a normal automobile accident. As a detective, something did not add up according to Jess. She has been trying to solve the case of her husband’s untimely demise since then. In between, she also solves other important cases that come to her. Hence, it can be concluded that The Gulf is a crime thriller show with new cases that are going to keep you on the edge all the time.

We are assuming that if a third season is announced by the creators, it is going to follow the main storyline of the show. The Gulf is going to continue from where it has been left in season 2.
