Laal Singh Chaddha is a comedy-drama film written and directed by Advait Chandan and written by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni. The project is a collaboration between Viacom18, Aamir Khan Productions, and Paramount Pictures. To make it more relatable for the Indian audience, the political events were replaced by the Sikh riots that took place in 1984. These attempts of the creators have assured to create proximity among the viewers. The first scene of Forrest Gump has Tom Hanks sitting at a bus stop wondering about his life experiences. On the other hand, Aamir Khan is shown traveling by train sharing his life journey with the other passengers. In addition to this, Lieutenant Dan in the original film was saved during a war scene in Vietnam whereas Laal Singh Chaddha had this character as terrorist Mohammed.
