How do you think the K-pop industry works? How are these groups and bands formed? These groups and bands come into existence after several rounds of auditions. This is not an easy process. People from various parts of the world visit South Korea for auditioning for these groups and bands. Among them, only a few get selected. The apprentices get eliminated each round only to keep the best among them. This whole journey has been encapsulated in the show Boy’s Planet. Before Boy’s Planet, we had the show Girl’s Planet 999. Both the shows are not interconnected, but Boy’s Planet is said to be the sequel to the show Girl’s Planet 999.
Boy’s Planet Season 2 Release Date
The reality television show Boy’s Planet was formulated to form a boy band and aired on 2nd February 2023. The 12 episodes reality show came to an end on 20th April 2023. People have been so invested in the show that they want to know if the show is going to return for another season. Here we have provided everything that we know so far about the show.
Boy’s Planet has been deemed as a sequel to Girl’s Planet. The show is a reality television show, and it does not have any concrete storyline. It is one of the reasons why the show may not return for another run. Also, the show ended with the formation of a boy band consisting of nine members. Hence, even if the show returns, it will be another sequel and not a continuation of Boy’s Planet.
Although the creators have not spoken anything about the return of the show for another season, it can be concluded that Boy’s Planet will not return for another season, but a similar show can be launched in its place.
Boy’s Planet: Selection Of The Contestants Through Auditions
Boy’s Planet is one of the reality shows that was not confined to contestants from South Korea only. The show invited contestants from all around the world, and youngsters auditioned for the show during the two-time segments that were given by the creators of the show. The first phase of auditioning happened in 2021, and the second phase of auditioning took place in 2022. After doing some search we found out that this time youngsters from 98 countries were selected as the contestants of the show.
Is not this amazing? The fact that the Korean Pop industry to trying to break the boundaries by giving everybody a chance in their entertainment world is itself amazing and commendable. Finally, we will be getting variety in the Korean groups, and who knows we might be able to have idols from our countries. The thought is exciting, right? The creators of the show have hence brought this vision to reality by deciding to form a band comprising members from different countries. Therefore, contestants from 98 countries were chosen to bring this vision to true.
Boy’s Planet: What The Contestants Were Required To Do?
After the contestants were chosen from 98 countries they were required to divide into groups. In the show, the whole lot was divided into two separate groups for the ease of the judges. The contestants were required to observe and follow certain rules or they would be eliminated. This generally happens during such sessions because the Korean industry wants the best of the lot and they are not ready to compromise at any cost. Among these rules, the most important one was to follow the masters. The apprentices were required to follow their masters so that they could ace in their fields.

At the completion of their training sessions with their masters, the apprentices were required to showcase their talents in front of the judges. They could sing or dance or rap. But whatever they did, they had to be incredibly good at it. The apprentices were not allowed to lag. If they lagged, they would be eliminated immediately. Along with showcasing their talents, the apprentices also had to remain consistent at their jobs. Huge differences between any of their performances were not tolerated. Therefore, the apprentices had to be mindful of their work.
Boy’s Planet: The Final Result
At the end of the show, the creators achieved what they wanted to. They formed the boy band Zerobaseone by putting the best of the apprentices together. Zerobaseone is a 5th generation boyband that was formed out of this show. The band is set to debut soon enough. We are hoping the band to break all records and set new ones!
