The story of the second season of Don’t pick up the phone can’t be predicted as it might continue its story from the first season or a completely new story can be seen. If the second season is the continuation of the first, it might include the arrest of David Richard Stewart, the hoax caller.
The plot of the docuseries is based on the true story of the ‘Strip search phone call scam’, where a hoax caller used to call employees of restaurants or grocery shops saying that he was a police officer. He used to conduct strip searches of the employees who mostly were female by managers. He was so convincing that nobody thought he would not be a police officer. This sex predator continued to do this from 1992 to 2004.
David R Stewart was finally arrested in the year 2004 in an incident in Mount Washington, Kentucky. But was acquitted of all the charges in the year 2006, due to no solid proof against him. But police have stated that after the arrest of David Stewart, the scam calls stopped.
