Smiley Series Synopsis

When Lex has to endure a tragic breakup, he loses his grip on reality, and his frustration gets the better of him. Though their relationship was just a few weeks old, Lex was already infatuated with his ex. In a moment of frustration, he picks up his phone and decides to give his ex a nasty piece of his mind. He records a long, bitter voice message but ends up sending that text to the wrong number.

This wrong message is received by Bruno, and this absurd twist in the story makes up the base of this series. Both men decide to meet each other, and their relationship takes off from there. Though both of them are miles apart, their love for each other knows no bounds. They have a spark between them, and Lex and Bruno are determined to keep that spark glowing.

But when fate turns against them and their personalities start to clash, will they be able to hold onto that spark? Based on a play by Guillem Clua of the same name, this play has had many adaptations. But this new Netflix series is the most recent and most anticipated representation of Clua’s series.

Smiley Cast

Carlos Cuevas will be portraying Lex with his amazing skills. Lex is a young, confused, and enraged man who recently had a setback in his love life. Now, he has to endure the aftermath of his alleged breakup and has no idea how to do so. After Lex mistakenly sends an enraged message to his supposed ex, his embarrassment doubles, and he meets Bruno because of it.

Bruno, the man who receives Lex’s message, will be represented to us by Miki Esparbe. Bruno is a bit mischievous and a lot of fun to be with. But when he gets entangled with Lex, his life takes a 360-degree turn, and he is left to handle his love life and a torn Lex.

Though the makers have not specified more of the cast members and their roles, a few of them are known. Pepon Nieto, Meritxell Calvo, Giannina Fruttero, and many more cast members will be seen in the hilarious Smiley world.

How Many Episodes Will the Smiley Series Have?

Since most of the Netflix series are known to have fewer episodes, we expect the Smiley series to have fewer than ten episodes. Hopefully, this series will present us with its hilarious comedy and entangled relationship drama soon. It would be interesting to follow Lex and Bruno’s journey and see if Lex’s ex shows up and disrupts their peaceful relationship.

Though the makers are keeping these details under wraps, it is speculated that the Smiley series will have at least eight episodes. This Netflix series will be coming to entertain us starting on December 7, and it will surely be an amazing hit.
