On June 15, Florida police found Cathy Lamb’s corpse sprawled across the floor, surrounded with blood with an exploded head. The 30-year-old was discovered by Jeff, who has been trying to get hold of his estranged wife for a while. Cathy was bludgeoned to death and her dogs, too, were attacked by a sharp and heavy weapon. Though the dogs were revived, Cathy couldn’t survive the attack and was engulfed by death.
Subsequently, the police officers started investigating Cathy’s murder. As is often the case, the officers believed it was Jeff who slaughtered his wife. Their investigation led them to Jeff’s friends and colleagues who confirmed his presence with them on the day of the murder. Moreover, the federal officers couldn’t lift any foreign fingerprints from the house or on Cathy’s body. They couldn’t get Jeff’s fingerprints either.
The investigation slowed down as the officers kept hitting dead ends and eventually was unofficially closed.
