Yes, currently we are talking about none other than the first part of the very famous second season of Baki Hanma, the season we all have been waiting for a long time, and we are going to be forever in gratitude to Netflix for bringing it to us so soon. However, the first part isn’t everything, we have got, we also have the second part of the second season which is the father and son saga, based on the Hanma family conflicts that have been going on for surely quite a long time. However in this article, we are going to concentrate only on the first part of the show, the first part which is the p[ickle saga, has been thoroughly recognized by critics all over the world, as one of the best seasons of the Baki franchise, we have just understood at what skill level has Baki reached and somewhere he has surely moved up in ranks when compared to sea king Retsu and other fighters out there, however the mentality along with the character of Baki is quite unique and difficult to understand as if we often get to see the Ogre peeping through his own personality and that is what gets over Baki in the first part of season 2.
Pickle is a primitive man, who has woken up after nearly 190 million years of sleep, who has got nothing to live for, and has got just two things in himself, one being his survival instinct and the other being his pride, which he has carried down for the previous 190 million years and has earned in the Jurrasic world while fighting with some of the strongest beats that ever lived in that era. Following all of this we get to see a lot of well-recognized fighters, even some whom Baki had tried to take up as his master, trying to fight Pickle but we had come to a single end for everyone’s case, other than Baki himself, and if you’re wondering whether the ogre gets a chance or not, the answer is no.
Though the battle between the Hanma brothers and Pickle has been quite interesting we could say that the biggest question that we are left with is whether Baki won the battle or it was Pickle who won the battle, to know the final answer read the article till the end.
Baki Hanma Vs Pickle
The fight we all have been waiting for quite a long time, but before the fight behind, something unruly happens and that is when Jack Hanma takes away Baki’s opportunity to fight Pickle and though he gets bashed up by Pickle more than once he goes on fighting him, but soon Baki makes him realize that jack is nothing but a storage of food for pickle, and jack is just disrespecting himself, everything he tried to fight pickle once again.
Soon we see that Baki and Pickle end up on the same grounds, but this time Pickle isn’t hungry and both wait for Pickle to make a move, but we all knew from the start that Pickle wasn’t at all hostile to Baki but saw him as a playmate which was quite fun considering the fact that his stomach was filled with the T Rex meat. Though Baki was not satisfied at all with that, and finally he goes and slaps Pickle gently, which hurts his pride, but at the same time, it is as if he is playing and wants to slap him the same way to gain back his lost pride. They indulge in quite a hooking battle where Baki tries many a thing, starting from camouflaging his injuries to lure Pickle, to imitating all the beasts which Pickle had found in the past.
The fight goes on for more than two episodes, however the second episode is the one, where Baki goes on an annoying pickle for a long time, as he went on dodging Pickles punches, which has never happened before and he just wanted to make Baki regret what he is doing but in a playful manner however Baki made sure to challenge him to the last extent and pulled a kick to his groin which brought our his final form, which also Baki was able to defeat at some point but he was so engulfed in the battle and the satisfaction of his ego and pride, that he didn’t finish off pickle when he could. In the end, we do see Pickle pulling up a final move on Baki which is the last blow, but we also get to see that for the first time, pickle didn’t end up eating his opponent who cants fight any longer, and nor was he storing him for later.
According to Retsu, Baki may have lost the battle at first, but soon the air was cleared by Hanamiya, and Pickle somewhere acknowledged the strength of Baki, and that is why the strong one pulled a move on the assumed weak. According to Hanamiya and most audiences and theories, Baki was the one who defeated Pickle and he also could have ended the battle a long time back, if he didn’t listen to his inner self.

Where Can We Watch Baki Hanma Season 2?
The Pickle saga which is the first part of season 2 of Baki Hanma is out on Netflix for streaming purposes, however, the second part which is the father-son saga will be available on Netflix on the 24th of August 2023.
