Chuck Season 6 Release Date: Has NBC Renewed The Arrival Or Is A Reboot On Its Way?

Boasting almost a hundred episodes to its name, NBC’s Chuck remains unrivalled in terms of popularity. Though it is a spy drama blended with romance and action genres, the series garnered traction due to its hilarious and intense characters. Chuck series is led by Shazam’s Zachary Levi portrays an “average computer-whoz-next-door”. Levi’s character Chuck Bartowski is a tech geek with a knack for comedy. When circumstances force Chuck into becoming a spy what happens is a mess of epic proportions. And mind you, Chuck isn’t led into the spyverse to serve the tier one spies but is dragged in to work with United States’ greatest spies.

With its classic binge-watch-worthy storyline and insanely hilarious characters, Chuck has enjoyed a five-season long run. Even though it has been a decade since Bartowski bid us farewell, fans are still kindling hope for a plausible Chuck Season 6. If you are one of those, here are the latest updates!

Chuck Season 6 Release Date

Created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak, Chuck Season 1 premiered on September 24, 2007. It went on to air for four months until concluding on January 24, 2008. The creators didn’t expect the series to garner millions of views and fans who urged them for another season. Initially, Chuck Season 2 wasn’t planned but with the demands, Josh and Chris sat down to expand the Chuck universe. It sort of became a pattern for three more seasons out of which the last premiered in January 2012.

Ever since fans are left to wonder whether Chuck Season 6 would happen. It seems like the wait isn’t any soon to collapse than it was a decade ago since Schwartz and Fedak are yet to comment. With several Chuck-level cult classics being revived or rebooted, the creators might chance to expand the Chuck universe. Whether it is through manifesting Chuck Season 6 or a reboot remains a mystery.

Will There Be A Chuck Reboot?

Ah, the second most prominent question for Chuck fans. Will there be a Chuck reboot? So far, it doesn’t seem like it. This is not to say the possibilities are drained but they are minimal. With several reboots lurking on the horizon, Chuck could be revived to join the list easily. Whether the makers are planning on it or not is the essential question that would decide the fate of the series.

And oh yes, the demands from fans serve as the fuel in the revival process. The series could continue from the same time frame and either portray Chuck and Sarah’s relationship being revived or focus on throwing the two to thwart assassins once again. The makers could also portray Chuck, Sarah and Casey mature (partially at least) and dealing with the usual spy problems as adults for once. Nonetheless, everything boils down to NBC’s approval and the creators’ interest in reviving Chuck.

Chuck At A Glance

Chuck Bartowski is a highly intelligent but lazy tech geek who works for a local electronics store and lives with his doting sister and her boyfriend. On an unfateful day, Chuck’s former Stanford University friend and roommate emails him an unusual series of images suddenly. As it turns out, Chuck’s friend, Bryce Larkin (Matthew Bomer) stole the merged database of the CIA and the NSA referred to as the Intersect. He didn’t only steal the database and has also destroyed it but not before storing it in encoded images.

Chuck now becomes the sole source of information for these two national agencies, an asset and unfortunately an agent. Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski), a CIA officer and John Casey (Adam Baldwin), NSA’s Major are assigned Chuck’s case. Though Chuck is initially wary of these two agents, the trio soon grow fond of each other and embarks on several spying missions. Chuck and Sarah, however, grow a bit too fond of each other amid this hazy mess.
