A mysterious town situated on the outskirts of a thick forest somewhere unlocatable in America is deeply haunted. Nope, there are no ghosts that lurk in the shadows but human-like creatures that feast on humans. The only way to reach this town is by taking a so-called second route of a popular highway–that is always blocked due to a fallen tree. People choose this route to get to their destination fast, little do they know what kind of horrors lay ahead of them.
The self-appointed sheriff, Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau), takes it upon himself to maintain the peace of this mysterious town. Be it roaming the town to make sure the entire town is on lockdown after midnight or be it any other task, Boyd has made it all his responsibility. But when the new visitors pose a threat to the peace of the town, Boyd is left to deal with the mess on his own. Of course, there are multiple other town members who come to Boyd’s aid. It is still a complicated mess they are yet to find a way out.
