Ōoku: The Inner Chambers Season 2 Release Date And Spoilers!

In the world in which we are living, patriarchy is the dominant form of all societies. However, have you ever thought about societies where matriarchy is the dominant form? They must have a completely different social order than ours. In our society, women are mistreated by the patriarchs. They are tortured, and violence is perpetrated against them. All of these must not be the case in a matriarchal society. Based on this very idea, the anime Ōoku: The Inner Chambers has been created. This is the latest anime that is going to be released on Netflix.

Ōoku: The Inner Chambers Season 2 Release Date

Ōoku: The Inner Chambers has been scheduled to be released on 29th June 2023. The first season of the show is mostly going to comprise 12-25 numbers of episodes. It will not be more than that. In this section, we will get to know if there are chances for the anime to return for another season.

As of now, the creators of the anime have not yet revealed if they are going to come up with another season of the anime. Even if there has been no news regarding the future of anime, what are the possibilities? Firstly, we want to let you people know that we are not sure if the anime is going to return. This is mainly because the first season of the anime has not been released yet. We can only predict the future of this anime based on the last episodes. The last episode will be crucial in determining the future.

Secondly, if the story of the entire manga is wrapped up in the first season itself, we will probably not have a second season. However, we will receive a second season if that is not the case. The status of cancellation or renewal of the anime will be announced by Netflix soon after the anime releases. Hence, it is just a matter of time before we get any news regarding Ōoku: The Inner Chambers’ return.

Therefore, it can be concluded that even if the status of the second season of the anime is ambiguous as of now, we will soon receive word regarding it after the release of Ōoku: The Inner Chambers.

Ōoku: The Inner Chambers Storyline

It is a historical anime that focuses on the Edo period in Japan. The story takes interesting turns and twists as men are dominated by women. Nobody could have imagined this scenario in the Edo period. However, the writer Fumi Yoshinaga has taken it as a challenge to create an alternate history.

In the anime, during the rule of the third king of the Tokugawa Dynasty, the whole social order takes an interesting turn. It is during this rule that men are getting attacked by a mysterious disease. Due to the unprecedented spread of this disease, most of the male population is getting wiped out, and the hierarchy of society is getting damaged. To save society from the damage, the women of the Ooku of the castle overtake the whole situation. They emerge as the new Shogun and the men are sent to work in the harems and the brothels.
