Sarah Fier died for the cause of her lover but at the same time for the town of Shadyside as well. In present times, the teenagers still have to figure out who is spreading the curse in the town.
It is found that Nick Goode is the one who is spreading the curse of Shadyside. He has to be executed for the betterment of the town. However, this is not an easy case. The group has to work tactfully to kill Nick. No matter how much tactful they are in their motives, Nick escapes them, but the story does not end there. Deena somehow manages to find the perfect situation to kill Nick and thus putting an end to the long-lasting curse of Shadyside. The film ends with Deena and Sam going on a picnic date, and everybody is happy. However, the ending scene during the mid-credits gives us a portal to the starting of a new story in Shadyside.

Black Magic is extremely strong, and once you are cursed under it, you cannot escape. This is what happened to Pastor Cyrus Miller. How could a Pastor be so cruel? Well, he was under the influence of the curse that had affected Shadyside for so long. Hence, he also could not escape the long-lasting curse. Under the curse, it is discovered that he is the murderer of 12 children among whom Constance is one. However, you do not have to worry any longer because this cruel Pastor is now dead and gone for good.
