Paava Kadhaigal season 2 release Date –

On December 18, 2020, the season 1 premiere of Paava Kadegal was released on Netflix.

On 27 November 2020 official teaser and on 3 December its official trailer earlier was released.

Series released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and English languages on Netflix.

Talking about season 2 of Paava Kadegal, no official confirmation has been made yet towards the Makers.

The plot of Paava Kadhaigal Season 2 –

Why Netflix made a Tamil series?

A 2018 report surfaced that Netflix plans to film an anthology in Tamil, such as the Hindi-made films Lust Stories were distributed by the streaming platform.

The same announcement was made on 28 August 2019, that Sudha Kongara, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Vignesh Shivanand Vetrimaran, will direct four short films for Anthology.

The film also marked the venture into South Streaming content before Netflix.

The shooting was delayed due to the director’s commitments with other projects and shooting .

The film, titled Paava Kadhaigal, was announced on October 1, 2020, by Netflix’s parent department, Srishti Bahl Arya, Which features four volumes by four different directors.

The film was produced by Ronnie Screwvala, and Arshi Dua under RSVP Movies and Flying Unicorn Entertainment.

The same film was also rumored to be an adaptation of Lust Stories, later it was confirmed that the film was of a different theme from the original.

Episodes –

Paava Kadhaigal season first contains four episodes each episode has a different segment title.

  • Thangam is the first episode of segment title, Sudha Kongara direct it and written by Shan Karuppusamy, Sudha Kongara.
  • ‘Love Panna Uttranum is the second episode of segment title, Vignesh Shivan direct and written it.
  • Vaanmagal is the third episode of segment title, Gautham Menon direct and written it.
  • ‘Oor Iravu’ is the last episode of segment title and Vetrimaran written and direct it.

So, next season also expected four or more than it episode.

Experience of making Paava Kadhaigal series –

Talking about the experience of making the Paava Kadhaigal series, Vetrimaran (Visaaranai) said that it was a liberating experience for him.

As these short films were not made for theatrical viewing

That is why his creativity and vision did not interfere.

Listening to Vetrimaran’s views, Gautam Menon (‘Rahna hai Tere dil mein’), who has also worked in his short ‘Vanamagal (sin)’, noted that –

”He had the freedom to do things that were solely for the content with thinking about who it appear in a theater screen.”

He realized one more thing that directors of different genres made each story, but still in the same area.
