When social media was newly introduced, people flocked to create accounts and establish their presence on it. Slowly, more and more social media websites developed and people created more accounts so as to not feel left behind. Now, people have their accounts on many popular websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and many others. What started out as a means to establish and foster connections between people has now grown into a big community on its own. Initially, people used to flock to social media to connect and chat with their dear ones and through the power of the internet, social media websites have made it possible to establish friendships with people, not just from another city but even from another country. But now, social media websites have become more than just a means of communication and connection. Through social media, we can do a lot more than simply chat, we can play games, learn, read interesting information and other people's opinions, stay updated on the current events from around the world, watch other people's creativity as well as share our own talents. We can even connect and get a peek into the lives of our favorite celebrities on social media! Social media has become so important that it is difficult for us to imagine a day without it. When we post pictures of ourselves or share anything, we are eager to know how many people liked our pictures or content and how people have responded to it. Saif Ali Khan has chosen to opt out of social media as a result of the excessive negativity and trolling which have developed on these platforms which have disturbed him. Jaya Bachchan The former actress and politician Jaya Bachchan is also among the list those Indian celebrities who, despite their immense popularity, have chosen to remain away from social media. Despite having a very socially active lifestyle as a politician, a member of the Rajya Sabha from the Samajwadi Party, she chooses to keep the details of her life to herself. She chooses to enjoy a private life. On the other hand, her husband, Mahanayak Amitabh Bachchan has an active social media presence and enjoys connecting and sharing details of his life with his fans. He has a massive fan following and receives a lot of love, respect, and admiration from his fans. He even maintains a personal blog through which he likes to share his thoughts, feelings, and updates of his life regularly. 4. Aditya Chopra Like his wife, Rani Mukherjee, producer and director Aditya Chopra also has chosen to stay away from having accounts on any social media websites. Though many of his fellow producers and directors maintain a good presence on social media, the chairman and managing director of Yash Raj Films does not feel pressured to join any social media website. He is not keen to join any social media website anytime soon. Both Rani Mukherjee and Aditya Chopra like to maintain privacy regarding their personal lives and also wish to keep their daughter Adira away from the glaring public eye. Though many of her contemporaries and famous yesteryear stars have now adapted to social media to connect with their fans, the beautiful Rekha is yet to make her stunning debut on any social media platform. However, much like the other celebrities who refrain from using social media platforms, Rekha to wishes to keep the details of her life private and only makes rare public appearances. 8. Amrita Singh Actress Amrita Singh has starred in movies such as 'Waaris', 'Naam', 'Betaab’, ‘Mard’, ‘Kalyug’, ‘2 States’, ‘Aaina’, ‘Chameli Ki Shaadi’, and more. Nayanthara The remarkable south Indian actress Nayanthara is also among the celebrities who do not feel pressured to use social media in any way. Nayanthara has been featured in the Forbes “Celebrity 100” list in 2018. She has managed to impress audiences with her amazing acting skills in movies such as ‘Visvasam’, ‘Raja Rani’, ‘Annaatthe’. Her upcoming movies are ‘Gold’, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Godfather’. Her superior acting skills have earned her the title of ‘Lady Superstar’ of Kollywood. The actress seems to be a very private person and doesn’t reveal much about her personal life to the public. Earlier this year, rumors of her marriage to Vignesh Shivan were doing the rounds and now, there have been rumors about the couple planning to have a baby. However, the actress has not responded to any of the rumors herself. R Narayana Murthy R Narayana Murthy has not only been impressed with his acting skills but he is also famous as a screenwriter, director, and producer. He has predominantly worked in Telugu movies. Shiva Rajkumar Shiva Rajkumar is another south star who hasn’t felt the need to have an active presence on social media. His full name is Nagaraju Shiva Puttaswamy. He is a Kannada actor who predominantly stars in Kannada films. He has acted in over 120 films. However, despite his immense popularity, Shiva Rajkumar has preferred to stay away from social media and fans wouldn’t be able to see him join the bandwagon of actors on social media anytime soon. There is only an official fan page available on Facebook by his name. He has worked in movies like ‘Bajrangi’, ‘Bajrangi 2’, ‘Galatea Aliyandru’ and many more. 14. Nassar M. Nassar predominantly works in Tamil and Telugu cinema. He is another star who has decided to stay away from social media. He is famous, not only in the south but also in the north, owing to his appearances in movies that have had a pan-India release. He has appeared in movies such as ‘Bombay’, ‘Nayakan’, ‘Thadam’, ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, ‘Oke Oka Jeevitham’ and many others. He is currently serving as the president of the South Indian Actors Association. So, it could be possible that Nassar does not have any time to spare for having an active social media presence. He has mostly been seen playing side roles and has only played the lead role in 2 films. However, his roles have been given much love and appreciation by the audiences and even earned him the Ananda Vikatan Cinema Award three times in his career spanning over a decade. He has appeared in movies such as ‘Yogi’, ‘Sirithai Rasipen’, ‘Veeram’, ‘And Kalakalappu’, and had a minor role in the blockbuster Hindi movie ‘Chennai Express’. Yogi Babu doesn’t have any presence on social media and he doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to join any social media platforms either. Fans wishing to know more about him and gain more insight into his life will probably have to wait longer. 16. Rao Ramesh Rao Ramesh is yet another south actor who doesn’t have any form of a social media presence. Rao Ramesh is an actor who has primarily worked in Telugu films. He has also done Telugu television and Telugu theatre. He has worked in films such as ‘Ek Ajeeb Dastan’, ‘RX 100’, ‘Rowdy Fellow’, ‘90ML’, and he has also starred in the blockbuster Telugu movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. He has even starred in the Kannada blockbuster ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ which has become one of the biggest hits of Indian cinema. It has been among the few movies released in 2022 that have become hits. Despite being a Kannada movie, the movie was declared a super hit all over India and gave its actors wider fame. However, Rao Ramesh prefers to stay away from social media as of now. 17. Brahmanandam Kanneganti Brahmanandam, who is popularly known as simply Brahmanandam is a south Indian actor who primarily works in Telugu cinema. He is also a comedian and known for his exceptional comic expressions. Brahmanandam has also been awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution to cinema. He has acted in more than 1000 films in an acting career spanning around 2-3 decades. He even holds a Guinness World Record for 'most screen credits for a living actor.' He has appeared in movies such as ‘Dookudu’, ‘Pokiri’, ‘Yevadu’, ‘Aagadu’, ‘Rebel’ and many Telugu films. However, despite many such achievements, the actor prefers to stay away from social media and has decided to enjoy a private life. However, there are many celebrities who are trying to utilize their social media presence in a good way and they are trying to spread optimism and motivation through their social media presence. Sonu Sood utilized his social media presence by helping a lot of people who contacted him through social media during the difficult times of COVID-19-induced lockdown. His efforts had made him a star beyond films and many people hailed him for his kindness. His efforts had helped many people. Along with Sonu Sood, celebrities also like to share positive messages, the positive things and differences they have made, the positive ventures they have learned about and wish to get attached to, and tips related to lifestyle, wellness, happiness, health, fashion, food, travel and a lot more.
