Scoop is based on an autobiographical book. The title of the book is Behind Bars In Byculla: My Days In Prison. The book has been written by the survivor of the prison days Jigna Vora. Jigna Vora was a journalist for various news channels. She was mainly a crime reporter. All was going well with her career. She was a hardworking journalist who sought to provide the audience with the truth. However, things do not go on the same for long. Jigna Vora soon became the primary suspect in a murder case that she was not even involved in.
The story of Scoop follows the true happenings of Jigna Vora’s life and her days in prison. In 2011, there was a huge noise among the media companies because of the mysterious murder of fellow journalist Jyotirmoy Dey. Everybody thought that Vora used her network to kill Dey so that she can remove her competition from the field of work once and for all. Based on this particular accusation, she was jailed by the police. After a lot of fighting and endeavours, Jigna Vora was finally able to prove her innocence. She was released, and it is after her release that she wrote the book.
Scoop Season 2 Release Date
As of now, there is no news about the second season of Scoop. The first season of the show has not been released yet, hence we do not have information about the second season as of now. Scoop Season 1 is going to be released on 2nd June 2023. It is only after the release of the first season that anything about the second season can be said.
Scoop season 1 is going to be based on the autobiographical book of Jigna Vora. Now, if the first season has adapted the completed book, we may not get a second season. However, if the series leaves some crumbs behind, the series will return for its second run.

The cast of the upcoming Scoop includes Prosenjit Chatterjee, Karishma Tanna, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Haman Baweja, Deven Bhojani, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Tanmay Dhanania, Sanat Vyas, Inayat Sood, and Ira Dubey.
The series has been directed by none other than Hansal Mehta. The executive producers of the show have been Sarita Patil and Dikssha Jyote Routray. The other crew members involve Mrunmayee Lagoo Waikul, Amitesh Mukherjee, Anchint Thakur, and Anu Singh Choudhary.
The Matchbox Shots is going to be responsible for bringing the show on screen.

Currently, Scoop will only have one season. Nothing much can be said about the second season of the show. As for the episodes of Scoop season 1, it is not been declared how many episodes are going to be there in the first season of the show.
