The show is basically a depiction of the missing department of the police of the United States and the cases that they normally get.

For those who have watched the show, they do be knowing for a fact that he suddenly went missing when he went out for cashing the lottery money. Now his wife and family were very much suspicious regarding him not returning because he left a voice mail, where he was not speaking but there was the sound of paper and rustling of leaves. Now following that how did he go missing or the complaint mainly register, it was because his car was found on the highway, parked at the side, and all his belonging were inside except the person himself.
When his phone was traced, we could find out some unique behavior in him, and it was thought that someone might have kidnapped him, but at the same time, when the area was checked, it was found out that the area behind the highway was drug users spot and it was quite known for that. Soon we get a call recording that suggested a man similar to David running across the highway in the same location and running towards the woods, which made us clearer that he was running away from something.
Finally, his body was discovered and according to autopsy he was using meth and he died because of its excessive usage. This act of his that is using drugs was only known by his daughter, who suspected that maybe he was using drugs but according to his family, he never did it. his three children were drug addicts and thus according to his wife, he was absolutely against the idea of using drugs.

Why Did David Taylor Kill Himself?
Now the big question is whether David ended up killing himself or was it something that was entirely planned because we didn’t end up finding the lottery ticket neither do we see any motive behind David taking any drugs just before he went to cash the lottery money.
There have been no valid reasons, that he has been given by the police, regarding why he took the drug, and along with that, the police didn’t even suspect the fact that him taking drugs while driving and before doing something that was so important. Now based on what the [police report said, he was using drugs earlier too and that was understood by only his daughter, to whom he ended up giving a drug when she was not feeling very well because she too was a drug addict. Now following that his death was because maybe after taking meth, he was hallucinating and that also explains why he was running through the highway toward the woods. The main reason for death can be that he got paranoid and couldn’t understand where to leave the place and that is how David Taylor ended up killing him. However, nothing has been mentioned regarding the lottery ticket or why he was roaming around in circles before collecting the cash
