Is Dasara Based On A Real Story?
Now as we have mentioned there has been no such saying from the side of the makers regarding the movie being based on a completely true incident. The story is basically of a drunkard, who doesn’t remember what he has done when he is drunk and coal mining and alcohol is the main industry that goes around in the village. Now there is a love tale that goes between the protagonist his best friend and a girl. The main aim of the story is to prove to the world how alcohol destroys everything. The love story blooms between Suri and Vennela, however, Vennela also used to be the love of our protagonist Dharani. Now there is an evil man called Chinna who is after Vennela for a long time, but Suri ends up engaged to Vennela.
Now Dharani comes to know about the main intent of Chinna killing Suri and he grabs the hand of Vennela, there goes on many confrontations and finally, on the Dussheraa, Dharani decides to kill Chinna and the goons who ended up killing Suri. Though he ends up going to jail for it, he comes out and destroys the bar in the village to bring out the people from the influence of alcohol and turns a blind eye towards Chinna’s doing.
Now according to the maker of the movie, the story is basically based on a real incident that he has been hearing from his childhood, and after setting the storyline well, characterizing and everything he fictionalized some parts of the story and brought it to us in the form of a movie. Though no written accounts have been found out about the incident the makers have stated that the idea o the movie came from a real incident that he had heard from his childhood.
