RRR Part 2 Release Date: When Will the Highly Anticipated Sequel Hit the Screens?

As Indians, we are presently living in a free country, however, all our lives are underlined by the undertones of colonialism. We are all the products of colonialism. If you travel by metro or subway, remember that is also a product of colonialism. The language in which this article is written is a product of colonialism. Back in the centuries, the East India Company was the first method via which British people came to India in the 1600s. During the first few years, people did not understand the motives of the company, but as the Mughal rule was declining, the intentions of the company became clear.

For centuries we have suffered under the control of the British. Even though we are free from them now, are we truly free from their influence? No, we are not, and we cannot ever be. The British Isles became the superpower at a certain point in history. They captured most of the countries and established their influence there. Hence, even if we try to wipe away their influence, we cannot. However, what we can do now is analyze how exactly they exploited the Indian population through the various events that have marked Indian history.

Now, we have to remember this thing, we only know about the control of British rule in certain parts of the country. We only know about certain specific events of history, however, many things happened in other parts of India during their control. We can only come across these incidents if we take a peek into the lives of people from other parts of India. One such part of history, that we have not studied in our textbooks, has been upheld by director S.S. Rajamouli in the recent film Rise Roar Revolt, RRR. To know more exciting facts about the film, you will have to read this article further.

Is it not natural for the film to receive a second part? I believe, the creators have taken a just decision by confirming the second part of the cinema. RRR Story

The story of RRR, although fictional, is based upon two real characters at its heart. Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem form the heart of the film. As mentioned earlier, you will probably never find these names in the mainstream history or historical records of the country. Nevertheless, these people were heroes of the south back in the 19th and 20th centuries when British rule in India was at its peak. They fought against British rule but never came across each other. Their names are still heard amongst people of that region. People of Andhra Pradesh have known them and have kept them immortal in their stories and local legends.

Alluri Sitarama Raju was an important member of his village and also in the fights that were conducted in Andhra Pradesh against colonial rule. He played a crucial role in protesting against the Madras Forest Act which was enforced in 1882, way before he was even born. Komaram Bheem on the other hand, born in 20th-century colonial India, took active measures against British rule as a pivotal member of his Gond tribe. Such heroes, although not mentioned in mainstream history, require the recognition that they deserve.

Recognition of these characters is given by director S.S. Rajamouli. In his film RRR, he has brought these two characters in the same timeline, he has made them buddies. Both Raju and Bheem were working against British rule in their ways. One was over and the other was covert in his measures. The film begins with a girl from the Gond tribe being kidnapped by the oppressing British personality Scott Buxton and his wife Catherine. In order to save the girl, Bheem devises a plan to infiltrate the Buxton household, while Scott appoints Raju to protect him. Raju has different plans. He is a police officer who works for the British but does the job to help his people.

When Raju and Bheem come across each other, they become good friends under circumstances. However, misunderstandings occur between them and various fights evolve as the cinema rolls. In the end, the real intentions of Bheem and Raju are known by each, and they work in collaboration to finish off Scott Buxton. The film ends on a happy note with Bheem asking Raju to educate his tribe.
